DonnyFL Tatsu moderator test 2, muzzle dB

Continuing my series of near the muzzle tests. I have a DonnyFL Tatsu moderator for a PCP gun now in the video. I conducted the tests just like the other ones I had done in the past. This tames the nailgun like bark on the Hatsan Flash really well and I am pleased with the results.

DB readings were as follows:

Control group:
82,4db
82,1db
82,1db
80,2db
82,1db
avg = 81,78db

DonnyFL Tatsu:
79.9db
79,7db
79,6db
79,3db
79,5db
avg = 79.6db

Interesting! I just bought a sumo and I’m wondering if I should get the emperor as well. How would these compare to the Tatsu?
I think that it depends on your setup. What PCP do you have? The Emperors are designed for higher power/bore PCP's to my understanding. Sumo is about the same as a Tatsu to my knowledge.

I am waiting for delivery but it’s a Brocock ghost hp in .22.

I went with a sumo just for a decent starter “do it all” moderator but i also want one that is as quiet as possible for back yard shooting. I live in the burbs but there’s about 300 yards between me and the guy behind me. My neighbors are all cool but I’d still like to be as considerate as I can be
