I just bought a FAS 6004, single shot pistol to shoot indoors. Knowing that the three or four similar pistols arent really set up for sights, I just took a "shot" at picking. They all had things that I liked.
Well, as noted the 6004 has open sights and my old eyes aren't really up to the task for good shooting anymore, so...I improvised.
From a different project (automotive related), I had some left over material from a roll of butyl tape. You've seen it, just a piece of VERY sticky rubber tape (similar stuff holds the windshield in your car..!). I had a left over Leupold DP-Pro, red dot (triangle) sight. I cut a piece of tape, cleaned the top of the "slide" (?) and applied the tape. Cleaned the bottom of the sight and did my best to align the side of the site with the side of the gun. After a few shots and some adjusting. It works great. Since there is no recoil, and this tape is VERY sticky, I'm not concerned at all with it coming off. Since the tape is a little flexible, I messed with moving the sight around, let go, it always seems to come back to the adjusted point of aim. Problem solved, no holes drilled in a thin top strap.
I'd take a picture of it, but you can't really see it because it's so thin...maybe .03" thk.
Just saying...don't overlook the simple ways of doing things, sometimes they work..
