Hatsan Doubts on the Hatsan Velox, Anyone have chrony the .177?

I know it's rated 11,7 joule, the 5.5 rams up to 17 and seems the sweet spot as the .25 only gets 3 more joules, but I want a .177 semi-auto because pellet price and stuff.

Is it really that weak in .177?

I don't know... I'm seeing videos and people dissasembling the thing and internals look pretty gimmicky. I really want to do designs and stuff, starting with a supressor, a barrel extension accesory and... I don't see much room for other things, and the 2 piece barrel is probably a bad idea because it seems that the mecanism rely on an exhaust port at the barrel that moves a rod, that also moves back the firing spring... so, maybe a detachable barrel extension only drags the pellet and cause the power worst as the air escapes from the vent port.

My customized GK1 is even shorter at 28,5cm, and I haven't cutted the barrel or tank, only used another slide and a designed handle that not protudes, but crude reality is that I'm not using the Gk1 at all, because I know its unsafe and also stupidly expensive, so I prefer a more crappy cheap thing that I can treat like garbage.

The cheapest option is a pp800r, not semi-auto sweetness, but I have had the old non regulated one (sold time ago as a luxury custom piece), also designed a non protusion, smaller and slim handle, far better than the aberration that the gun came with, and... I really don't liked the pistol at all. Loot of leak problems, have to buy valve pins on ali-express, clean the rust from INSIDE the tank etc to make it usable, the rebounce is atrocious, so I designed a rubber stoper and open the ports and leave the 177 version up to 17/20 joule (light/heavy pellets) and 10 good shoots.

Now I'm seeing people complaining on the velocity string behing all over the place, bad shoot count and a lot of problems with the r version so F it... I just don't want to trow money on bad stuff. Is the Velox bad stuff?... reading your post it don't look like it, but knowing how fanboyish this community is and how blind you are with the Gk1 and his MANY, MANY problems... I don't know what to think.

Should I give a chance to the Velox? Should I better whait for other company to put out something less crappy? and no, the ViperX is not an option, not going to spend +1000 bucks on a pistol.

Take a look at these threads relating to the Velox. You will get plenty of opinions.

Well... there is a toon of fanboys and youtube videos praising the gun, and some people and videos saying its garbage, that breaks easily, lose air and overall it's bad quality and gimmicky.

400 bucks is a pretty high price to trow on something I'm not sure about, and I can't make many mods or improvements, so I think I will pass on this, probably in 2025 some company will release a better pistol sized, semi-auto cheap option now that clearly there is market for this.
