Let's hope that no one here finds out the hard way if airguns are legal for mourning doves

Sad but true. Although legally I think I am within my right according to the word of law I will be abstaining from hunting mourning doves with an airgun. Unfortunately that means I won't be hunting doves at all this year or for the foreseeable future. Just don't feel safe using a shotgun where I would be hunting.

You don't have Eurasian doves in NC.? If so, they should be legal to take with an air gun. Just make a positive ID before taking the shot

I've never seen one. Doesn't mean they're not here but it does mean it's not worth the time to try and hunt them. For me anyway.
