Daystate Dowty washers and o- rings

Even the best of the best is still subject to leaks from o- rings and dowty washers.
Today I took out my very new Daystate Wolverine .177 Sapphire in preparation for an FT match next Saturday in Baton Rouge…
Zero air? WTH?

Cocked it and tried to gas it but it was blowing out air faster than I could add it.
My soapy water spray showed it was leaking out from under the Huma Reg gage.
Easy fix, spun out the gage and replaced the dowty washer and I was back in business.

Helps to keep o-rings and extra rubber seals on hand.

I have taken a razor and scraped out the bad downy seal used a oring inside it in a pinch it works well

I wondered if i could just eliminate the dowty washer and just use an O-ring?

I think you‘d need the shoulders of the washer to keep the o-ring from extruding out under pressure.

Exactly and that's why reused the out side metal ring
