Dream Air Rifle for NRL22

If you were going to buy an air rifle for NRL 22, what would it be and why? What aspects of that gun(caliber, power, stock, weight, etc.) would make it good for this competition? If your first choice is the FX Impact (because I assume a lot of you are going to say that), what would be your second choice?

The rti priest 2. It's similar to the impact and is easy to work on. Very solid construction and is super accurate.

NRL matches are out to 300 yards, not sure an air rifle will get you that distance. The guys are hitting 12" plates at 300. With my daystate .22 30ft-LBS, 100 yards is the limit for accurate shots.

You've got NRL22 and NRL22X confused.

NRL22 - Max range of 100 yards

"The NRL22 will provide a local monthly course of fire based off the NRL22 2020 Standard Target Package and Standard Barricade List. The local monthly course of fire will always be a total of 5 stages, 100 yards or less and different every month."

"The minimum allow distance is 25 yards with no limit to maximum yardage so long as the Match Director has target flashers to ensure the identification of hits or misses."

Is anyone using .22 cal AG or is the .25 that much better for bucking the wind?

I haven't shot NRL-22 yet, but plan to (nothing within 3 hours of San Diego). I build a .25 Slug gun for long range pesting and NRL-22. FX Impact with PP shoots 43.5 grain NSA slugs at 900 FPS. Gun is ready, not sure about the shooter...

West End Gun Club 2 hrs. north of you was holding matches pre Covid but has not resumed matches yet. When they do open back up though I'm not sure what I will compete with yet. Either my raptor or one of my marauders.

I own 2 impacts and a Uragan. I shoot NRL with the Uragan 22 with slugs.. i may try the Vulcan 25 next. I prefer the AGT guns because they shoot pellets and slugs extremely well without tuning.... unlike the impacts. I’m learning I need a heavier slug for the dualing trees at 100 yards. Both the Uragan and Vulcan are accurate at 200. Havnt shot at 300
