Tuning Dreamline repair

Broke my valve pin. Serial number is higher than 0101759 so I got the pin 20153c-1 and seat 2024c (just in case).

I put the seat and pin in and the gun leaks. I have the seat in the correct orientation to the pin and I put the little top hat back inside the valve cover and aligned the spring to it.

I notice that I can’t see the pin sticking out through the hole in the side of the block. I know I have the correct parts for my serial # (fx sent the wrong ones initially).

I’ve watched 910airgunandrepair video on the valve repair a few times and it looks like I’m doing everything Newman is.

just don’t understand why I can’t see the valve pin through that hole in the block that has to be why the gun is leaking.

any help is appreciated.

On closer inspection the valve pin i just received is slightly different. It appears there are three variations of the long valve pin and not two as the parts diagram indicates.

now I just noticed that FX is sending another package my way, maybe they sent me the wrong parts again and this unprovoked package has the correct parts in it. Not complaining FX, I do love your products!

If anyone is interested here are some valve pin pics.

Left is my broken pin (obviously). note the cone (black) on my broken pin is wider than the middle pin (20153c). 1/2mm to be exact, but the tip is the same length and shape as my broken pin.

the one on the right (20153c-1) has the same shape and scone (black) size but the tip is shorter and shaped differently.

side by side, and yes it’s just the tip :) tried to align them to show that one is slightly longer
