The Katran is fantastic in all respects. It's a .177 and it shoots 10.3gr JSB at a bit over 900fps and is stupid accurate. Trigger is very nice and the gun just handles and shoots soooo well. It's will be one of my last guns to go when I get to old to shoot. I'm thinking of having the stock cerekoted, as it is too bland for me, but it really is done beautifully. Airmaks is tops in build quality and a CZ barrel is so good. The factory mags are great, but I also got some Carm mags and they are just a tad easier to load. I wouldn't be upset to stick with factory though. Just a great gun.
I get bored with a gun and sell ones I don't use and go searching for my next interest. It was one of those moments when I called Utah Air to inquire about another gun and the saleman and I got to jawing and he told me about this rifle. It was new, and they took it off the shelf to take to a shoot to show off Airmaks, and then returned it to sell as used. I knew absolutely nothing about Airmaks, had barely heard of the name, but on his enthusiastic recommendation, I bought it. I can't thank him enough, it was one of my best buys ever.
Yes, I like it.
