FX DRS 25 700

I just received a DRS 25 700, it is even better than I thought it would be.
Out of the box the reg was set at 128 bar, this shot the H&N 40gr heavy at 935 fps.
I set the reg to 150 bar which gave me 970 fps without touching the hammer tension, but it wasn't very consistent, my experience with my DRS 22 700 was to reduce hammer spring tension to get a more consistent shot string.
This made it worse, so i slowly increased hammer spring tension until I got this shot string.

I was only able to get it set up and sighted in.

There will be more to come, like shot count and accuracy.

Just in case anyone is wondering the DRS has become my favorite rifle.

My 22 seems to really like the 40 gr h&n slugs too need to get out and get some pigeons with it though I'm used to using pellets so it be a change

I think I forgot to mention that my 25 700 is the Pro version

The Pro doesn't have to be removed from the chassis to adjust the reg or the hammer spring tension.
Just a ball end 2.5mm and 5mm allen wrench.

Nice! I wish FX could have had the forethought to put access holes in the classic stock so the reg and HST adjustments could be accessed. But, it's not too bad, I just remove the stock screw and let it sit in the stock. To make an adjustment I just lift it out of the stock, lift the front for the reg, lift the back for the HST adjustment!

Whatt kind of shot count are you getting slinging those 40 grain slugs at 975FPS? My .22 600mm classic was a real air hog with the SHP plenum shooting 25 grain slugs at around 950FPS. I know the 700mm has a larger air capacity, so I'm sure that helps some.

The Orion Magazines are 10 shots so I filled after 10 shots, I really didn't pay attention to how much air was left I was more focused on getting the rifle setup.
I wanted to shoot on paper yesterday to see what the 100 yard groups were like, but we had strong gusty winds all day long.

I have to say that I was disappointed with the length of pull. It is only 13⅜ with all 4 spacers installed.
I like 14½ length of pull.
I had to order another MDT space kit from Midway USA to add 1 more inch.

Hmm thats surprising that it is that short LOP.

Them Swede's must have really short arms! I added a rubber butt pad to my classic to increase LOP!

I've been shooting my rifle for a few weeks now and it is even better than I thought it was going to be !
I had a chance to shoot pdogs with it.

It is so much easier to carry around the prairie dog town than my M3.

I get 10 shots from 230 bar to 180 bar. I haven't shot it down to the reg pressure of 150 bar to see total shot count. But seems like I should get 5 more shots.

I was shooting it this week while camping.

This concrete post is 205 yards from camp, I was trying to shoot a small water bottle off the top of it.

I aimed at a previous shot(by blue dot) on the post to check wind drift.
I couldn't see my 1st 2 shots but I was able to see my 3rd shot, I then had my wind hold to hit the water bottle.
I have shot my M3 at that post with pop cans or other targets on it, but I have never shot a sub MOA group.

I know it was expensive, but the more I shoot it, the more I find it is worth it.
