Tuning Dual TP install on Crown MK2 continuum 700mm barrel

hi folks, this project along with the 380mm dual TP install i did previous is not like what you can find currently on YT. there is shroud differences in the gen 1 crowns vs the 1st gen continuums and the newer MK2 crown continuum and the other MK2's

im sure Ernest will have an updated video on this subject very soon.

my OEM tp produced 948fps and the dual tp does 977 with nsa 24.8gr slugs.

what really suprized me was the accuracy difference not alone the velocity of the RD's !!

went from 970 to 1007fps and accuracy @ 100yrds, is just about as good as nsa .75" group.

i'm like'n all the possibilities this mk2 continuum .22 can offer👍

I got a mk1 continuum. Pretty sure we got the same shroud. Also not sure what that has to do with the transfer port? 🤔

Glad to hear it's working good, though...

we do, i corrected my statement.

the install of the dual TP is not as easy as ernest does it

on the old barrels.

you cant just chuck it up in a barrel vise due to the shroud retainer end cap.......how did you do it ?

I tried to disassemble mine for curiosity sake, and it did not want to budge. I stopped due to not wanting to damage anything. I recon my vice, some wood blocks and a heat gun would have done the trick.

The ports on mine I ported by hand with them still attached. I did both barrels and saw 50fps... 920fps over 870 on the short barrel and I saw 75fps on the 700mm barrel. Can't recall what the speeds were on 700mm but it was a 75fps gain. It was on the factory supplied tune shooting 18.13s

if you have watched ernest do it, he used a brass shim to protect the

TP assembly from vise-grip damage.

i used 2 sets of shims and vise-grips, one on TP assembly and 1 on the steel tube where the 4 barrel screws tighten down on and let the 2 vise-grips work against each other.

used pen torch to disolve the thread lock until i seen movement of the TP.

worked like a charm, guess i should have made a video.

oh-well ☝️

I did't have anything of the sort on hand. Though I should probably find something like that. Would come in handy plenty of times, for sure!

Here's the port work I did :)
