Yep, remove the barrel and apply heat where indicated above. The moderator tube does not screw onto the base, but is held with epoxy. It takes a lot of heat, but it will release. The end cap is threaded and should unscrew. I scratched the tube on mine getting it off in spite of the heat, and had to repaint it. All things considered, there is really no need to remove it, unless you are planning to replace it with another suppressor.
