Probably stupid to mention, but may help at least one shooter, it's hard for me to pick pellets out of tin but pouring some into the lid makes it much easier to pick up and load magazines.

I do that too
Counting out the exact number for the magazine
The lack of feeling in my fingers on some days and I cannot tell how many (if any) I have picked up.
Or dropped

I cut a circle from Micro fiber cloth and use in a 4 inch plastic lid

I hear you, why I won't go with another .177 as .22 is tough enough to get a hold off !! Things as such get a bit challenging after , ahem ,certain years of life.

Adding a lubricate increases the difficulty too. Sometimes I cuss myself for doing it
