Wow somebody needs a hugIsn't this already a common approach to some degree? Most all you tubers basically do this. Worthy discussion nonetheless with the baby monitor.

@Stubbers Pistol shooting with iron sights for me presents this challenge. Binoculars are an easy solution, but the breaking of my grip and such sucks after each shot.I just turn up my scope mag to where needed, idk how some of you guys shoot with red dots and sub 10x magnification, I personally don't enjoy not seeing the exact POA in detail as I shoot.

Thank you for reminding me how useful and affordable baby cams are![]()
Careful guys. You might not want your wife to see this. Might give her ideas.Hello everyone,
Shooting paper targets with Iron Sights and Red Dot Scope, I cannot see the pellet holes when the target is 15-feet or at a further distance. I have been using a large Spotting Scope but it is always in the way and not very easy to use, ( photo #1 ).
Last week I ordered an inexpensive baby camera with a monitor, ( $27.00 ). I made a stable wood base for the Camera so that it could be set up just about anywhere near a target. The monitor has a built in battery which allows it to be used remotely, so I can set it right next to my Pistol for easy viewing. I now I can see each POI as I shoot and make any adjustments in my hold position as required.

My wife had our youngest son at 47.
Our first 2 sons are awesome, and the 3rd is a charm. But I almost fell over when she told me she's expectingabout 20 years ago
Yeah both of those are going to require a Wifi connection to your router (which might not be available depending on where you're shooting.) You want something that connects point to point that doesn't require Wifi, like:Any links to a good cheap combo that does what OP's does?
The best thing I found personally was this.
Just under 70$ for the combo.

Years ago I did this in my basement with a CCTV camera an TV as a monitor. It helped tremendously in “calling my shots” for 10m AP.I was really into this back in the late eighties and early nineties. Back then, I had a camera with a fifty foot cable and a small B&W TV, with a Betamax recorder. I would shoot from the bench set up in my Wells Cargo trailer.
For indoors (10 meters), I built a pellet trap with lights. Spots aimed at the targets, and with the flip of a switch at the shooting bench, lights inside the trap that would light the holes.
The local airgun shop at the time was trying to talk me into doing home, indoor range installations in people unused attic spaces, complete with A/C and lighting, but I wasn't a business man.
Now I sit with my wife and shoot, and she can't see what's going on down range, so I am considering an easy way to set up an on screen view
My current setup is 30 & 75 yards from my covered porch.
Any ideas I will research. This is starting to become a priority.
I like this approach…but 3” screen will be a challenge for 0.177 holes…I think.Yeah both of those are going to require a Wifi connection to your router (which might not be available depending on where you're shooting.) You want something that connects point to point that doesn't require Wifi, like:
Not bad! This monitor looks like it would show resolution quite well on single bull 10m AP target….would you advise? Also…I’ll read more…but please share the source of the camera/monitor. That’s very economical.Hello everyone,

I bought a wifi camera but the wifi doesn't reach the 75 yard range. So still experimenting.Years ago I did this in my basement with a CCTV camera an TV as a monitor. It helped tremendously in “calling my shots” for 10m AP.
I’m looking to duplicate this setup in my TX garage but using modern WiFi camera and monitoring on my phone or tablet.
I will search the archives here…or create a new thread.
