This one of those guns I will never part with. I got it as a gift years ago while they were still in production. 
Since that time I have done some work on it but never addressed the co2 consumption till today. Tore it down, cleaned everything. Reassembled with an angled valve port, lighter valve spring, spacer to reduce valve volume, and lighter hammer spring.
After reassembly, dialed in the hammer spring adjuster till it would shoot 13.25 g Daisy hp ammo at around 406 fps. Comparible to factory specs. 
Burned out that cartridge and loaded a new 1. Gets around 55 shots that will punch a hole in a decent Guage metal coffee can and dent the back side now. Significant improvement in co2 usage, and still enough power for small pesting at close range.
