Since the tanks have a limited life I'd be concerned that a tank could be miss represented. Or like another member bought a tank with a gouge in it that wasn't shown in the photographs. Yes they are supposed to refund you money. That takes a long time. Even postal money orders take a minimum of 60 days and up to 6 months. I'm old and I will only buy from a reputable source, been through the wait and maybe will refund your funds.

I have one of those but 6,8l

bought it from eBay seller was “Acecare” great quality tank.

comes with fillingstation, hoses and everything you need EXEPT a regulator.

so the output is whatever the pressure in the tank is

the threads in the tank was 18x1.5mm so the US “inch” regulators for instance won’t fit

had great communication with the seller and the the tank was way better quality then expected.

hope this helps

If you want to have a dive shop fill the tank, it has to be DOT certified and labeled on the tank. A tank with a CE certification won't do.

Most of these Chinese tanks don't have DOT certification, but there are some floating around out there that do. If you're looking at buying one of these tanks and it doesn't explicitly state its DOT approved, don't buy it with the intention of having someone else fill it. I don't mess with these Chinese tanks, so I couldn't tell you where to get a DOT certified version. I prefer SCBA tanks from Draeger or Interspiro even though I run my own compressor.

True

i forgot to mention that!

and I’m based in the Faroe Islands.

CE certification is what we use.

thanks Hollowpoint

They might be fine but my local paintball field will not fill those tanks. I don't blame them. Who wants to take that kind of risk just so someone else can save a couple of bucks. Personally I don't want to be anywhere near

DOT is in US

CE is in EU

the tests “things” go through are the same

the quality of the “things” are 100% the same... so I don’t understand why they can’t stamp both certificates on “things” I guess it has something to do with money and paperwork.

CE and DOT are two 99% identical tests.

just a pond between the two stamps

LOL the day american standard organizations start accepting EU certification as comparable to US certification.. will be roughly 90 days after hell freeze over.

Heya Fæøyerne :)

Jump on over to the "airtanks pumps & compressors" section of the forum LOT's of information to be found there.

IF Acecare they are well know, ole mac-1 here in the U.S. has been know to sell them - for those in the U.S. it IS possible to get one with DOT cert but might have to purchase a pallet?- .

Jump on over to the ohter section , just digging and you'll find some actual facts.

John.

😆 haha

After looking around, comparing prices, weighing options, etc.
I decided to get a tank via eBay, and components from 2 other vendors.
In the end, I saved over $100, and if I have the tank pressure tested / certified,
any place will fill it.. I just opted to skip that part for now, and fill mine at home.

This is the tank that I went with:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/9L-Compressed-Air-Cylinder-Carbon-Fiber-88cf-Scuba-Diving-Air-Tank-USPS-Ship/283004776537?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

It is listed as DOT approved, and, I can confirm that it IS in fact DOT approved.

The quality is fantastic! I couldn't be happier with this tank, and, I definitely recommend them.
[Shipping was fast and packaging was fantastic also]
