eBay coming in clutch

When it comes to buying airguns on eBay I’m reluctant. I would rather BUY here on AGN where I can get a good idea who I’m buying from.

Selling on here is a different story. If it ain’t a trending or reputable brand you can almost guarantee it will take a while to sell or you’ll have to drastically reduce the price. For example: I had a hatsan bt65 elite that cost $750 brand new. I list it for $400. A couple weeks go by and no bites. So I drop it to $350. Couple weeks go by and nada. I try a different tactic and list it as a WTT for a springer. Same results after two weeks. I put the gun back in the closet and it sat there for a year until I decided to put it up on eBay. It went up on eBay as an auction which got me about $400 after fees.

Or the DAQ pistol I posted on here 3 days ago. Didn’t even get a tire kicker. Put it on eBay last night and it sold this morning.

Certain items will sell better on eBay than a forum. Particularly vintage guns and guns made by less desirable brands. Yea the eBay fees suck but you get a little kickback from the discount on shipping. Plus the higher prices that you can sell them for balance out the cost of fees.

This method might not work for everyone but it has for me with the last 7 guns I sold on eBay.

I’m shocked that Cali allows you to own, use any gun. Do you need a permission slip of forgiveness from the state ?

My understanding (as an east coast air gunner) is that the state of Californicate is quite liberal (not a political word) in its policies regarding air guns.
Although certain cities may restrict or prohibit their use as do DC, NYC,
Can anyone from CA enlighten us?

I don’t know, I bought a Nikon F4s on the Bay a few years back. It was described in like new condition. When it finally arrived it looked like it had been used as a hammer. I tried to return but no luck and the seller was quite annoyed with my feedback. Ebay told me I was just stuck with it and I rarely go there anymore. I’ve been very pleased with my dealings here. Perhaps things don’t move as quickly but I have a lot more confidence in the sellers.

I love coming across parts guns like that. Amazing what a bit of mechanical aptitude can do for you

Even in Alabama, lots of towns and cities prohibit (by rule) their use inside city limits in your yard. Just like fireworks.
