Have any Lelya 2.0 owners noticed a puff of air on your face when shooting the gun? I doesn’t happen with every shot, but it happens pretty often. It feels like the air is coming from where the magazine is seated. I purchased this gun new from Edgun West only a couple of weeks ago and its been one problem after another (poorly tuned even though he said he’d tune it before sending, sent with a damaged stock, forgot to send fill probe, gauge was totally broken when received new from him and had to be replaced, etc…) and he has totally ghosted me. What a stain he is on this great brand. I’ve heard of many other complaints about him and now I see why.

Mine did that too.
I don’t have it anymore but I heard that you need to make sure the lever is completely closed tight.
Supposedly there’s a little click you can hear when the lever locks shut.
But I don’t know for sure since I don’t have it anymore.

Thanks for this info- I was contemplating getting one from them and he said that the Lelya can't fit a huma reg. Turned me off. Can you post a picture of your stock? I asked for photos but nothing. TIA

When I got my first Edgun Matador R3M many years ago, i had the exact same problem, puff of air in my face from the mag area issue. It was most likely a broken o-ring. at the time there was no edgun sellers, only an email to talk to a representative of Ed located in the US. he just immediately sent me a new gun, no problem.
today I have a lelya 2.0 in .25, no air whatsoever to my face... BUT this is also a common "user error" issue where if you don't fully close the bolt after cocking it, this will happen. make sure it's shut perfect, if it still pursues... then you'll have to replace an o-ring most likely

I'm just glad I found one used in good shape, already tuned, and got really lucky on a nice stock. If you even watch the video of the "lelya practice competition" Ed and his friends put on youtube, you'll see when the little kid gets the gun, he gets a poof of air. Ed responded in the comments that it was just from not fully closing the bolt issue.

My Lelya (.22) does this...occasionally ! Not all the time. Seems that if the gun sits, I get the puff. If I shoot it some on one day, then if I shoot it the next day, no air puff !?
And no, makes no difference with mine. I push pretty hard at the cocking arms forward direction, it's seated.
I actually thought the air was coming from the small bleed holes at the back of the suppressor body. In trying to remember, it seems...I think...that mine has done the "puff" as long as I've owned it.

I’d read about this puff of air issue in an older AGN thread (I think a thread by @davdisng) from what I recall, I read that the breech o-ring in the EDgun R5Ms are not to be lubed with silicone oil or grease. Lubing it creates this issue. I haven’t experienced it, but recently lubed my breech o-ring then read that afterwards. I’ll post a link if I can locate the thread.

And this is why I refuse to buy any Edgun products.
It wasn’t that long ago that my brother bought a matador and when he had a question about some small issue he was met with the sound of crickets. Sadly, I’ve seen this time and again with this brand.
That's interesting. Yes! And me and your brother aren't the only ones. There are a lot of posts about this guy Brian at Edgun West being like this when it comes to post-purchase issues. He's sweet as pie before he gets your money when he's trying to sell you the gun...
Thank you all for your input. I've definitely noticed that sometimes I fail to close the cocking mechanism all the way and there is a click to let you know that its closed, but each time I didn't have it closed all the way the gun didn't fire until I closed it so I'm not sure if that's the issue.

Hopefully you'll have a good time still shooting it, I'm hoping to find a Veles still in good condition one day...Of course used only, there are other people who will work on/help out with any problems. Plus I'm not too far from Norwalk at all, CT Lelya shoot?!

Thanks! Yeah, I'm enjoying the gun notwithstanding the BS noted above which has been or will get sorted out. Absolutely, I'm down for a CT Lelya shoot! I live in north Norwalk/South Wilton. Where are you and where do you shoot usually? I have about a 30 yard range in my backyard facing the Cranbury Park woods. Otherwise, i go to the Wooster Mtn. range in Danbury.Hopefully you'll have a good time still shooting it, I'm hoping to find a Veles still in good condition one day...Of course used only, there are other people who will work on/help out with any problems. I have just recently (two weeks ago) dealt with Brian at Edgun West. First to have a several questions answered a couple different times about my Lelya 2.0 and then to purchase some extra parts.
I have to say that he was very responsive to my emails and helpful with everything I needed.
I occasionally get the same puff of air with my Lelya. You do have to be very deliberate when making sure the bolt it closed and clicks to lock it in. I have found that even with the puff it does not effect the chronograph numbers.

I am currently in the market for a Lelya. Tried to buy one from Edgun West but Brian did not want to make it happen:
1. Asked for pictures of the wood stock but said he had them for $250: Crickets
2. Asked if I purchased the gun can he install the huma reg from his web site: Brian emails that the new Lelya can NOT fit a huma reg.
3. Asked If I could purchase just a stock he had offered for $250: Crickets
Cart checkout with mags and extras was close to $2K-
I took my business elsewhere and put an order in today
