Edgun Lelya dilemma

Hi. 

I currently own an edgun Lelya 2.0 i have had it out on many hunting trips and can't find much I don't like about it.. But I am a one gun man or try to be!

I like to try other guns and have my eye on a fx wildcat mk2, unfortunately my Lelya would have to go in order for me to get the wildcat! 

90% of my shooting is hunting the other 10% is informal targets and plinking.

My question is would I be making a mistake letting my lelya 2.0 go for wildcat mk2?

I have not had any problems with my lelya but.. Recently I have been seeing a lot of lelya owners with broken Cocking lever springs? That worrying! Can anyone comment on this please, was it a bad batch of springs maybe?

I frequently see posts regarding issues with FX models on this forum. That said, FX is very popular so naturally the ratio will be skewed.

I own a R5M and it’s very rugged, and comparable to my RAWs in robustness. 

If you like your Lelya and a spring is your major concern, I say buy a handful and keep enjoying what you enjoy. FX makes a good product, but I think your Edgun will outlast a Wildcat.

I have a Lelya 2.0 in .25 cal and it’s my go to gun for pesting around my shop. It’s compactness fits perfect for what I do, I have a wildcat mk1 that I hardly shoot, I might sell it to get the wildcat mk3 just because of the adjustability. 
I wouldn’t sell my Lelya because of how well built they are. As far as the cocking lever springs it might be only the earlier models that had that problem, my gun is almost 2 years old and have about a 1,000 pellets through it with no problems. 
If I was in your shoes I wouldn’t sell the Lelya at least no for a mk2.

I saw a video with Eduard, he says a batch went out with non spec springs from a supplier that were bad, stuff happens, but it has been addressed and he owns up to the part, shows how to replace them etc...the video is good, it is a simple repair. I have been shooting my leyla, it is my main hunting rig also. It is the gun I grab to shoot reliably , over the renegade, rti prophet, or ataman, it is dialed and rugged and fits in my pack. I say leyla is a better choice over a wildcat mk2. Don’t know about a wildcat mk3.

Haven't had any issues with any wildcat I have ever own that wasn't user related! That being said can't go wrong either way it's all about what you want and trying most rifles is part of the sport! 

The synthetic stock is very comfortable and rugged shoulder's like a beast haven't tried a Leyla but I'd be willing to trade you if interested in have a post up looking for that same rifle. Most people chiming in have never even shot nor owned a fx wildcat to say what is better or what they wouldn't sell for! Your either a edgun fan or fx fan here no in betweens...lol good luck!

If you're one of the "LUCKY" MK3 owners you get one that's rather on the flirtatious side that blows a puff of air right into your eyeball every time you shoot it. Some may find it sexy (maybe only the SINGLE guys) while others NOT. I just recently bought a new MK2 COMPACT and it's great! But I would NEVER run it over with an SUV.

I think after reading the replies, I'm going to stick with my Lelya, blistering accurate (177) and with the new thermal scope (360 grams only! Wow it is a awesome hunting package.

Yea, I own the Lelya 2 since may 2018 which was the 1st batch made. Mine was perfect, still is. Never replaced the charging handle even. Early gens had better springs. That spring is not a big deal at all. 

I still feel that if I had to pick one of my guns as my only gun, it still would be the Lelya. But, I had the same Dilemma- Even thought I loved my Lelya, I wanted to experiment and test out other airguns. 

I found myself late at night looking up other airguns and comparing their stats to the Lelya's trying to justify my temptation and why I needed others. I decided that if the Lelya did not know I was shooting other guns, my Lelya would not care. So, I made sure I never took her out of the case while another gun was present in in room. I would make sure that I showed the Lelya the same amount (or more) shooting time, just so she would not suspect anything was up. Everything then was going fine for about a year, until I slipped up.

One day I brought home an older Gen1 Wildcat in the same .22 cal (Same as the Lelya's). The Wildcat was a little dirty looking, and the previous owner had clearly push a lot of lead through her barrel without showing her the proper attention. So, before I took her out to the range, I really wanted to do quick clean on her bore. Not thinking, I opened up the Lelya's case to retrieve a cleaning kit- Boom! There the two were looking at each other. At first it was awkward, but it actually turned out to be a blessing.

The two were actually indifferent to each other...because the were just airguns. I ended up taking both them simultaneously to the range and shooting both of them at the same time. I was jumping between them back and forth at will, comparing them, testing them right in front of each other. I did not matter.

I learned a lot. I guy can not stay interested in this sport buy just shooting only one airgun. So, just dip into your retirement account and buy a few more, screw it!
