Edgun Leshiy 2 - my photos, thoughts & experience

Merry Christmas! Wish you all a tactical Santa this year :)

My field toys for 2021... it should be a good year. Plus Matador R5 of course, but it’s my range gun, not for open field. So now I have a dream team finally: ultracompact (Classic Leshiy), manual multishot bull (Lelya 2) and semiauto for pure field fun! Can’t tell which I like the most, each is very different and unique.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Looks to me the only one missing is the discontinued EdGun pistol. I forget the name and only saw a picture of it. But you have pictured above the top air guns on my list of the perfect set for field use.

Finally had a chance to shoot a bit and here's what I get at 50m.

Weather conditions: no wind, no rain/snow, but a bit foggy day.

My setup: Leshiy 2 in .22 cal, JSB Exact, Vortex 4-16x44 Diamondback Tactical (leveled) and of course my Atlas biopod. Vortex rangefinder.

And below my target:
- 3 groups (5 shots each) with 1-2 seconds between shots, so clearly taking advantage of semi-auto
- slowly aimed 10 individual shots, one at each target
- black dots are exactly the diameter of a pellet so 5.5mm (my own printed target)

(EDIT) for the record: as you can guess it’s my best card of the day. Not actually even finished... it was just too good at this point to continue. Other 20 or so were not as nice. I’ll shoot couple more cards during weekend and show them all, without picking the winner one. Just to show what to expect on average incl. occasional flayers etc.

Some quick thoughts...

It's actually an insanely shootable airgun. Due to mid-power and hamerless valve shooting cycle is extremely soft, not even close to my airguns with conventional valve. It's also not as light as it looks, which helps as well. Plus semi-auto (or rather self indexing) is a blessing as you just keep the same position shot after shot, without a need to reconfigure head & hands after manual reload.

I'll surely get .177 barrel at some point as well.

I tried also other pellets (H&N FT, JSB Heavy, JSB Express) but regular JSB Exact gives the best results. I guess Exact Heavy would be just as good (or better) at higher muzzle energy.

Beautiful pictures. Absolutely just a joy to go throw and read this whole thread. The Leshy2 is currently out of my price range but definitely be one that I plan to get in the future. I love the engineering that has gone into it. Plus everyone I see talk about it just loves the power and accuracy.

Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing more in the future.
