EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2 Questions

So I sold some of my ice fishing equipment and I have some extra cash. I'm looking to buy an Edgun Leshiy 2 in .25 with the 350mm barrel. I'll be hunting small game and plinking but more of hunting. I'm probably going to look into buying a used one but I'm not sure what to look for. Any tips? Also I've seen a few Leshiy 2s on the classified forums. Are they releasing the Leshiy 3 soon or what?

Also looking at a brand new Edgun Leshiy 2s. What's the REPR-X, Wolverine, Raven, raptor, and all these names? I don't see anything on their website that describes the meaning behind the name and the description looks pretty much the same.

Does it come with a factory moderator? How loud is the bark with the moderator? How would you compare it with the Huben GK1?

How's the trigger? Is it adjustable? Trigger weight?

How many shots per fill should I expect on the aluminum tube, 350cc cf bottle, and the 460cc bottle?

Lastly, overall PROs and CONs for the Leshiy 2. Why wouldn't you buy it. Why would you buy it? With the money, what other air gun would you buy?

Thats alot of questions. Spend time watching as many videos on Utuber as possible. Suggest give EDgun West a call and visit. I wanted a light compact (not a hefty bench rifle) that was semi - self indexing, grab and go, truck gun, and have it be my one and only PCP. I just had to have it for the obsurd cost. Too many others to pick from but if I had stayed reasonable, the Taipan Veteran (1) Compact did everything I needed it to (what a rock solid little gem). Next want would have been the Krait, but never purchased one. So, I took the plunge into EDgun, made mistakes, learned some lessons, and my venture has stopped with the .22 Leshiy with the 350mm barrel. I'll be turning loose of a .30 Leshiy soon as I definitely can't feed two of these.

Excellent questions! First, the Leshiy 2 is super cool (I own two, one in .22 and one in .25, both purchased early in the Leshiy 2 lifecycle). That said, you're absolutely right - it's hard to find out what all those options / version mean. I *think* the REPR means that it has an adjustable regulator that was a late addition that I do not have. The other versions are mostly changes in stock, forearm, suppressor, and bbl length. My Leshiy's are stock factory guns, with the factory suppressor which is adequate for my needs. My .25 shorty barks a bit and my .22 is quite a bit quieter. Neither disturb the neighbors but both frighten off all the surrounding critters, at least for a few minutes.

Both are compact (assuming you don't attach a 6-250x scope with a 150mm objective) and especially so for transport, where you can fold the stock.

I get a good three mags (18 shots) from the "aluminum tube" (stock) which I find more than adequate. YMMV, depending on tune, etc, but it's enough for a good hunting session.

Cons: the damn Huben owners just won't shut up! ;-), they're expensive, magazines are stupid expensive. (That said, I rarely change mags. I usually just load the installed mag "in situ".) There's no .50 version...

Pro: they're as fun as they come. They seem pretty robust. Mine have been bullet proof, but I see some issues reported here and there online - make of that what you will.

The trigger is - well, it's what it is. I don't mind it, but some do. There's a hiss if you're exercising a slow pull, but it breaks cleanly and it's not heavy. I think it's fine. I have years of competing with various powder burners, with varied triggers, and I really think it's a matter of "can you pull a trigger?" or not. If you can, the L2 isn't going to be a problem for you.

All that said, I haven't tried the Huben (which I consider the direct competition), so it may be that I don't know what I don't know...
