EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2 Won't Fold

There is a little lever on the right of our Edgun Leshiy 2. When depressed, it lifts a pin that allows the rifle to open (unfold) on a hinge. At that point, the rifle taken down, i.e., separated by a release button into two pieces.

When I press the little lever, the pin does not lift, thus the rifle cannot be opened to swap magazines. It is currently a doorstop. I will not force it.

I lightly lubricated the pin, to no effect.

Any ideas what might be preventing opening the rifle? Phoning the dealer who sold it to me is not an option, for a number of reasons. Thanks!

I should have mentioned: This was functioning normally last week. There has been no abuse or shock to the rifle.

If there is not a broken part, try this. Put the gun across your knees. Pointing to the right, right side of gun up. While holding down on the lever, push the gun down in the hinge area. This should relieve the tension on the tapered pin and allow it to come up.

It’s best to not let the breech slam into the locked position because this allows the tapered pin to engage farther than needed.

Thanks Dave! Will attempt this evening.

Solved! Thanks to all. The solution: I took a wooden chopstick, turned the rifle upside down, positioned the chopstick tip at the very end of the hinge lever, and gave the stick a rap with my palm. I have no idea why this happened, but now the rifle opens and closes normally. Proud of myself that I did not stress the rifle in any way. This was the low-risk, no damage solution. Plus I lubricated it again, so it will be smoother than ever . . .

Can anybody recommend a good Edgun repair place, should I ever need it? One that is neither Edgun West nor affiliated with it, please.

Gents: I do want to keep a list of people I can trust to work on Edgun products (other than Edgun West). Is it possible to message me with any contact information, to keep in my back pocket? Thanks.
