EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

EDgun should, EDgun must and all bla-bla-bla... You sounds like bloody socialists, whos poop I have eaten enough in my Soviet Union life, before USSR was gone. I was tought that an idea to countr somebody's income has a quite bad taste in the West world, but watching what has been happening now in that world, how easy this World forgets all the human rights and all the bullpoop it tried to feed us with so I just think that it was another myth as well. OK, one more disappoint of the West Dream fable, I am used to it already....

First of all, the key principle of life to me -- nobody owes you anything! Neither government, not your relatives, or friends, nobody. When you have it driven in your mind, you have no disapoints of anything happening around. Thus nobody has to follow your wish to spend less money for what you want. It is quite easy if you want something but you don't have money for that -- you just don't need it. As, for example I don't need any modern yach, since I have no money for that. And if I go the yacht factory yelling about high prices... you know what answer I will get, right?

One of the stupidest thing is to compare the prices in different countries, not paying attention to different factors. Wnat the Leshiy 2 for the price in Russia? There is no problem, just came and take it, easy to do! We are not yelling that cars in Russia cost twice the price of the cars in Germany or USA or other countries. If we need them, we buy them if we don't need them or we have no money for them -- we just take something made in Russia, worse quality but less expensive. How you, from the West world has tought us -- free market? Yes, right, when capital from USA and other West world countries came to Russia after USSR was gone and bought everything for nothing, that was very good and right way, wasn't it? Now, when it turnes back you start to say "That is wrong!". Really!? Well, you tought us this, just accept the fact we were a good students.

Any thing cost the exact price people are willing to pay to get it. Even if somebody thinks that is unfair. That is the main economic law of the free market. I did a wonderful product, having spent enormous volumes of time, skills, money and resources for that. You want me to give it you for free, just to please you? Really!? I think you want to insult me by that proposal... We say in Russia the oats are cheap, but the boats are expensive...

Oh, I have an idea! I will sell this idea and all the documentation to FX to make the gun and sell it to the clients! I think they will take it with pleasure. And I will be quite happy, making just pure creation of the new projects, and selling them to the other companies. No claims for the price, no service head ache, no expenditures for the sales to my workers. Pure creativing and pure income. Would do you think? Will you complain FX price the same lever for this gun? :)

With the best regards

Ed

I made valid points to you which you could incorporate into your operations but you chose to take my words personally and start insulting me.Trauma counseling is generally needed for people who have been under oppressive regimes.Don't project your bad experiences onto me.You are not selling yachts to the elite of the world, you are just selling airguns.I get your point that no one owes me anything ie. internal locus of control but that does not mean that you can bait people with your product and not give them a price or sell the gun at a low price in one market and double the price in another market for exactly the same gun.How can you compare the cost of Russian goods to goods from Germany and USA when USA and German goods are the most sought after in the world. It is not my problem that your government is excessive with customs on goods coming into Russia. It is also not my problem that corrupt USSR politicians sold your countries assets for a song.

Your point on selling your idea to FX is quite a good idea as FX is looking for creative individuals to partner with to take the industry to new levels. An example of divergent thinking instead of convergent thinking. If you actually did sell your idea to FX, I would have the Leshiy 2 in my hands right now in a hardcase and not a cardboard box. Also, the gun will be cheaper from FX as they won't price it higher then their main product, the Impact. They understand the concept of economies of scale.

You talk about service.Let us go into that. You make promises on Youtube that you will supply spares. You use the platform for punting sales but fail on service.I spoke to you last year multiple times about a laminate stock, stalker scope and magazines. You gave me your word that I would have them last month but you did not honour that commitment. When I asked you about the items, you send me from one dealer of yours to the next who inevitably cannot help me.Now you ignore my emails. You sent me to Edgun West for a laminate stock but could not supply me.He then starts ignoring my emails just like you.Maybe it is because I did not buy the gun from him.I am fortunate enough to have residences in the UK and South Africa.I see that instead of using reputable dealers like BAR(Blackpool Air Rifles) or Sportsmans Gun Centre in the UK,you use a rude sailor named Graham who does not even have a website. His speech leaves much to be desired however his ego deludes him to think of himself as a modern day Shakespeare. Here is an excerpt of his writings on a public airgun forum with regard to Leshiy 2, "Such a cretinous suggestion is both incredulous and ludicrous, for the fiscal point of taking a deposit is not for me to buy a ticket to the Philippines and bangkok horny whores for half-the price of a badly packed kebab (done that, been there & bought the T-shirt several times)." I'm sure kids at dinner tables will enjoy such eloquent speech. You changed your reputable dealer Airgun Nut in South Africa to Pellet Guns.He complained that it takes ages to get anything from you.I tried Pellet Guns for the items that I wanted. You guessed it "don't have".None of them were even proactive enough to try and get me the items which I wanted.

Edgun....a service fail on 3 continents!

People have a false impression that Edgun is a Unicorn gun and nothing goes wrong with them. When I contacted you about my Lelya 2 rusting only a month after purchasing it,your response was "That is such kind of steel".So you are aware of the problem but are not willing to rectify it.An example of you buying cheap parts and selling expensive guns.I rather not be able to drive over my gun then have it start rusting.I wonder if you can drive over Leshiy 2 like how you drive over a Matador.Do a video of that will you,to show us what a good gun the Leshiy 2 is.I also noticed that there is no EDMU gauge on Leshiy 2 which makes it cheaper to manufacture.Buy small, sell big.Awesome.Another point worth noting is that, when I increase the hammer spring tension on this gun,the action gets so loud that I have to wear ear muffs when shooting.

Pictures below of 1 Month old Lelya rusting....

In the AEAC video,it was strangely said that your gun has a match grade Lothar Walther barrel but in your correspondence with me you told me that it has a standard Lothar Walther barrel. It was also said that your gun has a match grade trigger but strangely cheaper guns like my Vulcan and Bantam Sniper have better triggers. On the subject of barrels,I see that you now use cheaper barrels made by Alfa instead of Lothar Walther barrels on Leshiy 2.To me it looks like you get bits and pieces made all over the show and put them together and call it Edgun. You should get AEAC to do a factory tour of your facilities. It would be nice to see the operations of a top airgun manufacturer.

Also, kindly tell us what happens to all the money thats been prepayed to you now that Russia is on lockdown.

In conclusion I would like to say that I still like Edgun. No hate, just facts.

Dude - if you have this much hate for Ed's guns do us all a favor and quit trolling this thread and just find another brand to buy.

Your post is incorrect!!!!!!!

FX also charges different prices depending on the country you are in. Go to Krale website and you will see the FX guns are slightly cheaper than in the US and have a big ol disclaimer saying they cannot be sold to people in the US at those prices. Steyr is another example. Their guns are being sold MUCH cheaper in the Netherlands than in the US.

It is the way the world works. Not ED's fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chronograph numbers Edgun leshiy 2.0, barrel 350 mm, JSB Exact King Heavy cal. 0.25, 33.95 grain

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwoCjIMnkQE

So the 350 mm .25 does 820 fps with JSB 33.95 pellets and 50 fpe for us English dudes. Wasn't sure how many mags he was getting...3? Not bad. My Veteran does about 840 with it's 460 mm barrel for just shy of 4 mags.

Two things.

1. Edgun is not selling essential goods like N95 masks. He can sell them for whatever the market will bear. It takes more time than you comprehend to design, validate and manufacture a complicated product like a PCP. Being an engineer myself I'm impressed.

2. All steel guns rust except for the minority of stainless steel or coated products. If it isn't advertised to be rustproof assume it is not. They make gun oils specifically for guarding against rust. I like FP10 but their are a myriad of products that work well. Dry your gun every time you go out in a damp environment and reapply rust preventative often. Keep a rag coated with rust preventative around to rub them down with.

Finally (I guess this is 3) please keep your silly squabbles out of this thread.

Trying to comprehend all of this. Obviously an open disagreement. It all boils down to, if you want it you gottat pay the price. Have you asked Mercedes to sell their cars cheaper? If the Leshiy 2 is objectionable don't buy it. I would say that Ed and Adbur have both cluttered what this forum is supposed to represent in that exchange. I am surprised the moderators didn't quash it. Has Ed earned my admiration....yes! Is Adbur an intelligent person who has some bad experienes...Yes! However, I don't need to see that here.

Now!! What's important to me is with the pandemic when is the gun going to be in Brian's shop. All the rest is just interesting window dressing. I thought I saw assembly will begin in June. Some of us might succumb from Noravirus by then. That is much later than I had heard before but I probably missed something somewhere. Would Ed and/or Brian please come up with the date when, if we pay the asking price, it will ship from Edgun West? Stay safe all!!

I have no intention to give any exact data before I have them assembled in stock. Yes, I plan to start assemble them in June. It means that Brian will have them in July in USA, as the logistic takes its few weeks. We are working hard, inspite of that covidiotizm both in Russia and in the rest of world. We dont' care about all those bans and keep going to work (I told before that I love Russia because any stupid rule or law can be just ignoredf and one can live in a normal mode. And not only us, our partners in EU and China also have not stopped to work.:) )

Meanwhile some pics from the production.

Guess to love PCPs just part of the process is you see something, shot show, here, etc., and it looks really good you just have to wait about 6 months to actually have one. I saw a FX Dreamline tactical with bottle at a show and thought that would fill a lot of what I want in a good pesting rifle. I ordered, put a deposit, etc. etc., and got all kinds of explanations from FX and a local reputable dealer and the bottom line is I couldn't get one. I saw it 6 months before I went to plan B. Got a tactical with bottle but no folding stock. That was $150 more and they didn't know if they even had them. Got one shipped to me with bottle and took it to a gunsmith and shortened the barrel, sleeve, etc., and now have a DL Tactical with bottle, and a barrell about 1" longer than where the end of the bottle is. Still no folding stock, but now 6+ months later I Can get what I wanted and I can even buy a shorter barrel, which was not available and FX USA didn't know if they were going to be made, much less obtain one.

You see it advertised. and thats by all manufacturers, and it's a crap shoot when you can actually have one delivered. Part of the game. Gotta live with it. No other choice.

Machinist art ED.

ED, I would like to add one bit of constructive criticism if I could. Your machined parts on your guns are first rate as far as the machining goes and I would guess that the attention to detail to get the parts machine so nice takes a lot of time and money. Also the finishes on those nicely machined parts is excellent and as nice as any other air gun I've owned. My one and only criticism with your guns is all the slight marring in the finishes of your guns. I would not call the marring scratches as they do not go through the finish to the aluminum, but rather the marring is just on the surface of the finish. I've owned 4 of your guns and but for my Leshiy, all the guns have 1 inch+ marks on the finishes which I would guess are done during the assembly of the guns or during the transportation of the parts from where they are made to where the guns are assembled. I picture the finely finished parts just sitting in a large pile in a bin waiting to assembled into a new gun. To me air guns are pieces of art and I like my art to be unmarred if at all possible. I don't think the guns get marred once they go into their Styrofoam and cardboard boxes, but who knows. So it would be nice if you could figure out a way of producing perfectly finished product. Once again I'm a huge fan of your guns of which they are the brand that I have bought the most of. I'm just wanting to make a suggestion to make them a tad bit better.
