EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

What scope mount is that? And what scope for that matter? On my phone & can't stretch the image enough to tell.

Also, to you & everyone else with the Striplin, are you going up a size with the moderator or using caliber specific?

The mount is a Dedal-NV LPVO. The scope is a Dedal -NV DHF 1-7X24 FFP. We have a pair of them, can't beat that endorsement. I'm eternally grateful to Brian for taking the time to analyze our unique challenges and recommending them. They are shared between three Leshiy 2s, a RM5 and firearms. Each Leshiy has its own dedicated 2 mil Aimpoint red dot.

The Tatsu is a .22 cal version left over from our FX adventure. It's quiet enough. I don't mind the bark from our .30s so no changes.

How's that Dedal-NV 1-7×24? I don't know of anyone else having Dedal optics besides the Stalker.

To set things straight my username is a play on words. I'm no scope expert. Scopecreep defines this ever expanding hobby. The only other scope I own is the Leopold VARI-X III 6.5 x 20 E.F.R. that Tim McMurray installed 25 years ago on my Career 707.

I am an optics snob. We use Swarovski binoculars and Leica monoculars, I don't care for Zeiss colors. I shot with the Leica M system for years, not just because I grew up using a rangefinder, because of the glass. Dedal's glass is good.

The other important factor to consider with my comments is I grew up with open and peep sights. I never cared for knob twisting. The Dedal is a doorbuster scope that can reach out a bit. It's red dot at zero power when the illumination is on, perfect for both eyes open. It's fast and bright, with a wide field of view and a bunch of eye relief. Think of it like a grown up peep with magnification and a reticle that helps you get your shot off quickly instead of twitteling your thumbs.

The mount was designed to keep things stable on an AK. Not being ignorant of mechanical design it's an eloquent solution that maintains zero provided your rail is MIL-STD-1913. I frequently swap out to an Aimpoint, neither one looses zero.

Edit: grammer

Thanks. I looked on Edgun West's site as well as the Dedal site and I can't find the specs on that mount.

Do you happen to know the saddle height or the height to center?

Bill has another happy customer. The Striplin Custom Gunworks threaded adadapter gets my official DLD Award (dandy little device.) A left over Tatsu takes the bark out of our .22 while keeping it compact for storage and transport, perfect. The quality and finish are top notch, frosting on the cake.

Can you share how you're mounting the forward QD sling swivel mount?

If you're planning to add another jet, remember you also need a spring & pin.

I want to swap to the 350mm barrel but can’t find a power jet valve in stock. If I was to continue using one jet only, what’s the ideal size for a .25/350mm barrel?

In terms of area, the closest configuration to the (0.4,0.4) suggestion from the above chart would either be a single 0.5 jet, or a single 0.6 jet. So if you want something with a little *more* dwell time (more air expenditure), go with a 0.6 jet, and a little less dwell time (less air expenditure), go with a 0.5 jet.

The 0.5 single-jet configuration has 20% less area than the (0.4,0.4)-jet configuration. The 0.6 single-jet configuration has 12% more area than the (0.4,0.4)-jet configuration. So 0.6 is the closest to spec.

But the ideal configuration really depends on your regulator pressure and exactly what projectile you use.

Freakin awesome, thank you! Will order both and give it a shot
