EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

Thank you. I will do that. I got mine from Spain as well and found a few major things wrong so far. Hince, I am being patient and taking small steps. Can't wait to shoot it though! 😁
I did that too, but after 1 1/2year of ownership, all the issues and all the waiting for parts to cover warranty - I totally lost my patience. No more EDGun for me ever :cautious:

Okay, finally sent some lead down range! It was a beautiful day for shooting. After first shot the plenum gauge settled at 167 bar and recovered to 166-167 between each shot over 3 mags. Photos are of last mag 8 shots @ 35 yards. JSB hades 77.16 gr. Average of 804 fps. Shooting from bi-pod no bag in rear. 3 power prism. I am happy so far! No cycling issues. Everything was super smooth. Did refill to 300 bar before Shooting third mag.

New to me Leishy 2 owner here, I received this rifle in a trade and I’m trying to get my feet wet with regards to tuning. Rifle has a 500mm (rough measurement) FX superior liner shooting hades 44.75 pellets. FPS seemed a little low to me and I’m wondering if the reg should be increased and or jets changed. This is the original Leishy 2 regulator with no external adjustment, currently it has a 0.5 and 0.2 jet installed. I do have a set of jets but I do not have a regulator pressure testing tool/gauge. Thanks

***UPDATE - upon disassembly the reg is marked in red sharpie #130

Hello,

Leshiy noob here. I'm looking between the Leshiy 2 350mm .22/.25. On the Edgun West site, it says the .25 can shoot 25.39gr at 850fps. Is this the max setting for the Leshiy 2? I'm wanting to shoot pellets at around 900fps. If that's max then I might have to go with the .22. With a 350CC bottle.

If you get lighter pellets, it'll shoot them faster. I see 25cal pellets as light as 16 grain. You could probably find some mostly-plastic pellets or slugs that are lighter.

Is this just for target shooting? If you have a purpose, would help to tell us what that is.

I’d be using it for hunting small game and pesting. Rabbits and squirrels. I’d prefer to use the JSB Hades. Maybe slugs like the Hybrids if it works.

For rabbits and squirrels I'd be totally comfortable shooting with .22's. But I shoot raccoons with a .22 and a lot of people here wouldn't. So I'm a bit biased. But all my pesting is done around 30yards. I think I have my Leshiy with the 350mm .22 barrel tuned to around 750ft/s. I find it works great. With raccoons you certainly have to be careful about placement. But I get plenty of one-shot "lights out" events.

So would you say shooting 900fps with .25 26.54gr isn’t possible on the Leshiy 2 350mm barrel?

I don't know. Someone who knows will likely chime in. I suspect it's close to the upper limits of the Leshiy 2's capabilities, if you don't go to ultra-light pellets. But I only have 22 and 30-cal barrels.
Is your .22 L2 loud? I heard from others saying they’re very loud without a good moderator like the Huma mod 30

Without a moderator it's much like a .22LR, I find. If you tune the pressure way down to where you're shooting at 400-500fps, it's more reasonable, as you'd expect.

To make the beast quieter you either need to seriously down-tune it, put a moderator on or use a longer barrel.

Ok, so if I was to get the L2 in .22 with the 350mm barrel, the flat black section at the end of the barrel is the shroud right? What else would I need so I can use a Donny FL moderator? Looks like the shroud goes right to the end of the barrel and it doesn't look like there are any threads for any moderator. Also, how many shots are you getting on your .22 L2 at higher power around 800-900fps? An estimate should suffice. (Deciding factor of getting either the 350cc bottle or the 460cc)

The barrel stops short about 10cm from the end of the shroud -- room for the moderator baffles.

There's a company that makes a modified front-piece for the shroud, that let's you add a 2nd moderator to the end. I forget what their name is -- moderators of any sort are illegal here in Canada so this is all academic on my end. Aha, a quick Google search found it: https://striplincustom.com/product/1-2-20-threaded-adapter-for-edgun-leshiy-2/

You could also remove the shroud and put a moderator straight on the barrel. Some people prefer that. IMO the stock shroud looks great and while it isn't perfect it appears to modify the sound profile to be more of an "air stapler" or "nail gun" than a 22LR rifle.

I have both the .22 and .25 in 350 length. 350/360cc bottle is enough (80-120 shot depending on gun and tune). No problem getting to 900 fps either gun with pellets up 34 grain (as high as I tested).

My suggestion is tell Brian the weight of projectile and he'll set it up.

Thank you for that! (y)

So out of the 2, which one are you grabbing more often?

The leshiy2 is a very cool gun but not known as a power house, its reasonably accurate, not target grade because the pellet jumps from the mag into the barrel like a revolver. The trigger is similar to shooting a double action pistol. It is accurate enough to take game out to reasonable distances depending on caliber and kill zone. I enjoyed mine for a couple years then sold it as it wasn't the gun for me.
