EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

I'm trying to get a baseline to know what to expect before I receive my L2. If a 350mm .30cal is set to 800-830 fps with 44.75gr, what fps should I expect from the 250mm .25cal shooting 25.39gr or 34gr JSBs' by just switching the barrels?

I got you. Here are the numbers for my "let'r rip" tuning. These are my results testing 26.54gr JSB Hades and JSB King Heavy MKIis with the 250mm .25 barrel:

  • 127bar - Hades: 775 MKII: 715
  • 130bar - Hades: 790 MKII: 725
  • 140bar - Hades: 800 MKII: 740
  • 150bar - Hades: 810 MKII: 760

I'm running my L2 with the 350mm though full-time, the velocity and quietness are much better for me in this config (no plans to go any longer than it is now!)

MtnGost, thanks for providing your results. Are you using stock 25 cal orange power puck or are you using a 30 cal orange power puck?

830 is totally normal I feel it important to provide factual information.. Straight from Edgun " we tried every size plenum, the most change we experienced was 3%, changing the plenum was useless"

This was the first question I asked Ed about adjusting the power for you guys

I do confirm it, we used both bigger plenum in test to get more energy and smaller plenum to get less air consumption in small caliber and energy. The maximum deviation in results was just 3 %. So we decided to leave this volume of the plenum as standard for all the calibers and energies. Don't forget that is not the classical valve and it works in diffrent way not as you are used to :)

@edgun, thank you for chiming in on the discussion and confirming some of the points.

I assume that for the different calibers, at least the 4 most used ones, they are along “classic” industry standards for FPE / Joules, plus or minus a few “energy points”.

.177 cal / 4.5 mm = 18”ish” ft/lbs / 24”ish” joules

.22 cal / 5.5 mm = 30”ish” ft/lbs / 40”ish” joules

.25 / 6.35 mm = 49/50”ish” ft/lbs / 65”ish” joules

.30 cal / 7.62 mm = 70”ish” ft/lbs / 100”ish” joules

And when I give the numbers above, I mean with FACTORY SETTINGs, but I know some brands run hotter out of the box like my Taipan Veteran than the “industry” Norman.

My Edgun Leshiey 2 is ON ITS WAY!!!! The gun and everything is supposed to be here this coming Friday!!! And that photo looks so much like me, minus the hair, beard, but other than those things...100 % me (mainly crazy look) 😉

@peskadot671 yes about 5 weeks ago. I got the .177 / 350 mm barrel combo. In the Netherlands you can’t hunt with an air rifle regardless of the caliber and I figure we travel to the states I can always get a 25 or 30 caliber for hunting. Also due to other possible ochanges 177 makes the most sense that may be doing 177 sped things up don’t know and don’t care I’m getting it.

Well, apparently some blocks in the UK didn’t even wait 5 weeks. I told my cousin in California it was coming and he said Brian told him he should have his 25 cal / 250 mm barrel combo before end of the year. I think Brian posted 400 were on the way.

AND Ed did say that Europe / Other parts of world were getting next batch so it is our turn :D and I just happen to live in the Netherlands right now, so I qualify as Europe.

@Kovas, I know a guy in Norway who ordered in March 2020. And isn’t the quality of service you “provide”, but I think getting the .177 combo sped things up and I just got lucky. Same thing happened with my Impact Compact.

Now what size of hard case are people using? Need dimensions. :)

My L2 .22/350mm shoots 18.1's @ 945 fps average for 36 fpe out of the box, if that helps anyone. I'm throwing the RD's now, but haven't had a chance to clock them yet.

I’m not getting any where close to 945 FPS with 16 grain pellets out of my 350mm .22 out of the box. Getting in the 890’s so 18.1’s would be slower yet. What chronograph are you using? I tried to use the reg tester today for the first time. Put it on but the compressor wouldn’t get above 1000 psi. Turned it off and it leaked that pressure out. Took the tester off and put everything back together and it took a charge no problem. Has to be leaking somewhere but I couldn’t detect where, any way the regulator end had 130 written on the end where the adjustment screw is. I thought the .22’s were set at 120 bar. So why is it marked 130? The tester will tell what it really is once I figure where the leak is. The regulator tubes threads didn’t regulate with the tester either. It was 180 degrees off so the butt was upside down when it bottomed out. I thought everything was supposed to pretty much align when assembled.

Tighten that knurled screw on the reg tester with vice grips. You can't tighten it enough by hand (at least mine is that way). Also make sure to close the little bleed screw on the valve! This is the assembly order btw..

Well it is here 4 weeks and 2 days early.....my Leshiy 2 in .177 with the 350 mm barrel. Beautiful and impressive workmanship, but the probe is leaking. Ordered the gun from Francisco at Edgun.Shop, and he included a few extras, and below is what I got except for the 300 cc bottle. Won't worry about it for a while, but have it.

HOWEVER, the probe seems to not be working correctly and I am getting a lot of leaking and so the gun won't properly fill. Here is the string for the details and photos of the issue I have already posted: https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/its-here-its-here-edgun-leshiy-2-but-houston-we-have-an-issue/ 😢

However, again though, I know I am super lucky to have the gun so soon, and Francisco I know will make it right. Also it is one of the first 200. :D Serial number 176. Just glad I have the gun before my cousin, need to make him green with envy. 😏

So did yours bleed through when you filled it and just tightening the knob by hand before you used the vice grips? Sorry, I haven't used my reg tester yet. Still waiting for my gun lol.

I had the same experience. Had to tighten the knurled knob on the reg tester with pliers.

Would an o-ring or teflon/plumber's tape fix it? Sorry, just curious whenever little issues like this occur.

I'm using a brand new ProChrono DX. I will say that I had some funky readings to start with...all over the board. Over 1000 and then down under 920. I also had some imbalanced air usage between my 1st and 2nd mags, where the 1st mag would use up 85-90 bar and the 2nd 35-50 bar. I was worried (kinda am a bit still) there was something wrong with the regulator, but was hoping that it needed to settle in with time and use. I still don't think I'm 200 shots through it yet. I had a couple of issues with the OEM mod and the aluminum hand guard so Brian and I have been sending parts back and forth. That and my compressor dying right as the L2 came has kept my shot count down. But the air usage had settled down and has balanced out the 100 bar per both mags better and it was shooting consistently when I took that string, so I think it's settled down. I have my parts coming tomorrow so I'll clock some more numbers on Saturday and post them up.

Okay I am making the best of the current situation with the filling issues with my L2.

Okay, the gun won’t fill quickly but I was able to get some air in it and tried a few shots with .177 Hades at 10.34 gr. According to the FX Chrony the speed for 8 shots was 942 FPS with 20.4 ft/lbs, so I think something a bit heavier might also do well. I am interested to try the different sized pucks once Francisco has them back in and then order some, missed the first batch.

Though not installed here is a size comparison of the 300cc bottle looks like overlaid / placed and there is a ton of room between the bottle and handgrip. If I got the 350 cc bottle with out the power plenum I think it would be a bit snug.

Lastly, the 30 L Patagonia backpack Blackhole series can easily hold the folded gun, and the strap in the back to hold the laptop aligns perfecting on the recess of the handgrip to secure rifle. One comment about Patagonia’s Blackhole gear, and water. The backpack is NOT waterproof, but durable as hell and keeps a majority of the water out. I have a small laptop bag from them and I have had it 5 years, and it is still going strong. Also, I have a 60 L backpack duffel bag that is great for traveling.
