EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

Seems likely that the back half of the gun might have to be replaced for every caliber change. I wondered when I saw the first video why Ed felt it necessary to put a release button on the air tube. The original Gen1 and Gen 2 Leshiy's did not have or need it, and it does not make the gun any more packable or easier to work on. Even if the cost is the same with the FX caliber swap I I would go with the FX for the power, adjustability. long range capability, maturity of platform, and simpler cocking lever design, which I prefer.. I have my SK-19 which ups the Leshiy 2 with not only semi auto, but full auto. The Impact would fit nice in the middle. JMO

why air leaking from top on magazine?

There will always be a small leak from a revolving mag, less when loaded with pellets, I guess it would be possible to make a perfect sealed system with pressure expanding o-rings but would not be reliable over time and would slow down the system

Röhm Twinmaster PCP revolver, not a problem, power burning revolvers, not a problem

I guarantee you buy one lol ;)

cematera doth protest too much methinks 😂

So I took some liberty with Macbeth, all will be revealed soon gents, enjoy the ride, this thing is so cool. I promise it is the airgun we all dreamed would be delivered on our 12th birthday. As a manner of fact, the L2 may force you to dust off the old PK ripper and hit the pump track.

looking forward to It.👍

Just like the steyr hunting 5 automatic or LP, this design will always have a blow back of air when shot, some more then other depend on clearance of the rotating mag this clearance is a must to function properly in semi- auto, this blow back of air will results in a higher ES and affect accuracy at long distances. I’m sure its a fun Leshiy, with experience with all Semi -Auto it’s a short fun then sold them all and never look back. Just something to think about that they didn’t put out.

I’m trying to keep the competition down to get on the pre-order list.

Good one kinda, but not necessary. I can’t see how anyone in their right mind would consider the L2 for long range. This is under the tree, in the barn, out the window rapid dispatch. I can’t wait to get one.

come on... I'm only teasing ;) All in good fun. Competition is a good thing for everyone, even manufactures. Without innovation, and a willingness to act things would get pretty boring... for example like (IMHO) what we saw yesterday. No one builds a better impact than FX. I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised as details roll out.

What’s my concerns even though I’m on the waiting list.

1. Can I put up with firing blow back of air?

2. do I have to modify the mag/oring to reduce the blow back, thats what I have done with others.

3. mag and ammo stay in place while in a small back pack?? I mean bouncing around with open breech with mag full of pellets. Had crickets, edguns taipan mag in my pocket and had pellets falling out.

4. to me its a close distance use— but at time I want to reduce power down to 6fpe or below to prevent penetration of back stop inside a building. Do I need to bring a back up gun for that i ask myself—> probably! No one gun can do it all.

5. can i put up with removing and installing the mag plate retainer every time with the small mag —-> I love to shoot really fast with 23 to 38 shots per mag stepping down in slot count its going to be a change for sure.

6. Change in caliber, does the breech oring end need to be change?? Looks like it and will cost a lot more per caliber.

this is my foresight questions just by looking at the L2.

The video where a russian reviewer describes how the valve actuation works, it's a bit hard to follow because the terms/translations aren't always clear (put the pellet in the uterus?). What I think he was saying was there's no hammer or or hammer spring. It looks something like the sear itself is holding the valve shut when the trigger is engaged. When the trigger slips off the sear then the valve opens and the gun fires. That has some pros and cons. It should have MUCH quieter valve actuation than the current striker setup, but also will no longer have the easy hammer spring tension adjustment to alter power levels. You should be able to change power levels by altering the transfer port size or regulator pressure/plenum size, but Ed never mentions anything about power adjustment in any of the videos (and neither do any of the reviewers with initial samples). I suspect it's not going to be easily adjustable like the original leshiy, that you'll have to disassemble the buttstock to do it (adjust plenum size and regulator pressure). That might be consistent with having to do a buttstock swap for caliber changes.
