EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

My L2 was delivered today. I’m going to run a SWFA 3 x 15 scope on top and was wondering about scope ring height to get proper clearance, does anyone know for sure if I can get by with medium height rings? Going to store tomorrow. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Congrats! Such a great feeling when it finally arrives, isn’t it? Hang on for those of you waiting! Trust me, it’s so worth it!!

So I have the EOTech EXPS2.0 on mine and that’s equal to about a medium height ring. I’d say go with the talls because I could use just a tad more height when shouldering as I’m standing up. It’s doable but you will only be grabbing the tail end of the butt. My experience anyways.

I’m waiting as fast as I can!!

Ha , me too , & i have almost ZERO patience, i am hoping i dont have another stroke waiting on receiving my Leshiy 2 , i check email all day & night, for the Email from Brian ( i am off of work till april)

Okay L2 experts do you think a “reset” my Leshiy 2 .177/350mm to original settings is worthwhile for optimal accuracy?

Tomorrow I fly off to USA for a few weeks, and for two of the weeks I can do some proper pesting and hunting with the Leshiy 2 and Taipan in Idaho and Montana. Being in Idaho and Montana shooting distances will not matter, nor the amount of energy I shoot the Leshiy 2.

Word is the L2’s optimally accurate out of the box (according to word on the YouTube too and here). My original plan was to up to 18/19 ft/lbs using the 10.34 gr JSB Heavy from the 16 ft/lbs setting now. Original settings the 10.34 grain JSBs seemed the most accurate came in at 959 fps at 22 ft/lbs, along with the other readings.

So using the FPS readings (still no pt&j) from the FX Pocket Chrony. So if I do this I will increase the regulator pressure (in theory) from the current’ “110 bar” back to the original “130 bar.” Then take a chrony reading to see if I am in the neighborhood.

Should I push the envelope with the 10.34 gr. and go for the original settings or stick with my original 18 ft/lbs 880-900 fps goal?

Well got single point sling stud installed, scope mounted and zeroed and was able to take some shots with my new L2....WOW very different experience with the semi-auto!!!! I can easily see that the L2 will end up being my go to AG for squirrel hunting. I was only able to shot out to 20 yards today, the trigger is consistent and very easy to get use to. There are non problems at all with the trigger for hunting purpose. Target from today with 2.... 8 shot groups that measure .25 inches with AA 25.4 grain .25 cal Diablo traveling at 861 FPS on average with STD of 1! I did nothing to the gun except clean the barrel load the mags and mount a scope.....Aired it up to 270 BAR.

Oh there is sooo much more to that post

Please tell. Magazine fit? Which ones have those results? You settled on a slug? Which one? What speed for best results? Oh we could go on and on.

Hahahaha - yes there is, but I want to shoot at a distance before I can say if there is a winner.

Right now the .254s are all out - fit the mag perfectly but all over the place. The .2503s are out as well as the .2513 hollow base. I'm down to the .2513 cup, dish and flat bases. I believe that top middle group (13 yards) is the 30gr .2513 Dish Base I believe at 950 fps - 0.25/450mm barrel, 0.2mm/0.4mm nozzles and 150 bar Reg. Will push them out to 50 yards this weekend. They've been fitting the mag, maybe 1 in 15 will fall through. Not that I'd plan to shoot it a lot, but I'd really like to find that 1 slug my .25/450mm barrel likes.

Definitely following your results. Thanks for sharing👊

Still messing around indoors at 13 yards. It's been in the 20s this weekend - brrrr!!

I think I've narrowed it down to 3 slugs at this point. 2 - 8 shot groups below with the leaders. I can't recall which is which of the 3 slugs, but group #1 is .40 inches edge to edge in .25 caliber. I guess that would mean 0.15" ctc for that group. Group #2 is even tighter but you can see on of the 8 shots went low.

Sorry @JWilson, more tease, tease, tease...... 😏

I did a little tweaking today, too. I upped my reg by feel to what looks like 155 bar, according to chrony dropoff. This would be my .30/350 mm barrel with one jet that should be a #3 and the other plugged.

I was pressed for time, as usual, so I only got a 4 shot string as I filled to 200 bar. I averaged 810 fps with 44.75's for ~ 65 fpe.

So, about 14 shots on the stock tube at 65 fpe with the reg set at 155 bar with one (assumed) #3 and a plugged jet. I won't be getting 74 fpe without changing jets, it would seem.

😎 looking for 2...anyone got 2...#2's, that is 😂

I got my L2 earlier this week as well. It is quite a bit louder than my .30 vulcan 2 with a ronin on it. I took the ronin off the vulcan and I have been running my L2 without a handgard and the ronin. It is still louder but it is an improvement over the stock moderator. I am wondering it is possible to take apart the stock L2 moderator. It looks like it should be possible to create a new end cap that would let me run the stock moderator as a shroud and then use the ronin on top of that. I would need to build a custom endcap in the machine shop. I haven't figured out a way to take it all apart yet and I didn't want to break it so I haven't tried anything yet. Does anyone know if these can come apart?

Yes, it can be taken apart. Just remove the moderator from the gun then hold the moderator body and press down on the mounting screws against a flat surface. It will put enough pressure on the front end cap to give you a gap from the moderator body and the front end cap. It’s has a couple of large o-ring which makes it tight against the moderator body. Once you get a gap between it it’s easier to pull the front cap away from the body tube.

I was able to go to a shooting range today to sight in for a 45 yard Zero. Two targets and I shot the AA 25.4gr and the JSB 34gr both at 45 yards.

First pic is both targets. Second pic is the first group 8 shots with 1 flier 25.4gr AA. Third pic is second group of 8 after adjusting the elevation up slightly. Fourth pic is final group with 25.4gr AA after the adjustments. Fifth pic is the first 8 shot group with the JSB 34gr. Sixth pic is 8 shot group with JSB 34gr, fell off the regulator during the 8 shot string. All in all I think a great shooting day. Ill be using the gun as a woods walker while hunting small game and it is definitely accurate enough for me!!

Sidenote, I did tell Brian at EDgunwest that I had a pile of JSB and AA 25gr pellets and that I would like the gun to be tuned to those pellets....it looks like he did and I’m very thankful for that. Dealing with him has be a pleasure! Also I got 4 mags (32) shots with the 25.4gr AA before I re-filled to test the JSB 34gr’s.
