EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

When I first receive the L2 my first shot would be much higher then the rest of the shots if I had not fired it in a while. I believe after removing reg back-and-forth between the large plenum and the stock plenum and cleaning it. A high first shot has been reduced. My initial impressions of the huma air regulator is it performs very similar to my stock reg with a standard deviation of 2.8 over 16 shot, with no high fist shot. I have not been able to do anymore testing yet do to a magazine cycling issue(broken valve pin ball, waiting on a replacement part to arrive). I will follow up with how huma air reg performs after I get a couple hundred shots through it.

Also after following some instructions I received from @raxim777 to adjust the stopper screw on the breech face. I now have a noticeable difference in sound reduction using the moderator insert.

What is this stopper screw you speek of and what did you do please?

First loose in the bottom setscrew and Insert a empty magazine. Then you have to slowly unscrew this stopper screw a little until your L2 stops firing.

Now start to twist it back in very slowly, just a little bit, until the moment when L2 will shoot, you need to catch this line between just won’t shoot and already shoot, as soon as you get it the L2 moderator insert should be at it quietest, then tighten the lower set screw it holds it.

This is similar to how I have always adjusted the triggers on all my EDguns. Adjusting to a point of known reference adds value. This is a good repeatable procedure. Thanks for sharing.

I've been messing around with some high power .30 tunes with my 450mm barrel. I've got a 480cc bottle with extended plenum and rear air tube.

Stock setup (top) vs. extended tank and butt setup (bottom).

Tune is 160 bar on the reg. The bottom shots (850 fps) were with 0.3mm/0.3mm nozzles from the .25 setup. I went down to blocked/0.2mm setup and HOLY CRAP 90 FPE with the H&N 46.7gr pellets.

Pretty nice! Would love to have two guns. So to clarify, the first two shots shown at around the 850 fps were still in the phone from before you changed to 160 bar/ 30 cal/ single .2mm jet? Also how many shots did you get with that set up before coming off the reg? I have the 600mm barrel on and went to it from 450mm because I wanted over 900fps and could not get it from the 450mm barrel.

Correct - shot a mag with my .25 settings and then changed the nozzles. It's a bit of a rough shot at that power level to be honest - hard to keep the gun still.

What I forgot to mention was that with the larger plenum I'm getting almost 8-10fpe more than the stock plenum in the higher power ranges.

I'm going to bring it back down to around 80fpe where I think it will be more efficient with the air. For reference when shooting the 850 fps I was using about 22-23 bar per 8 round magazine. When bumped to 90 fpe it took 50 bar out of the 480cc bottle just to shoot one mag - so definitely very air hungry setup.

I dropped back down and tested with a 0.2mm/0.3mm combo and also a blocked/0.3mm combo.

0.2/0.3 - JSB 50.15gr pellets - 875 fps - 85 fpe (~24 bar per mag)

Wait for the next one - blocked/0.3mm - JSB 50.15gr pellets - 920 fps for 95fpe! (~28 bar per mag) This is a nice tune. Shot cycle is still smooth. I believe with the larger plenum I was just blowing a lot of air with the blocked/0.2 nozzle setup.

That is a great tune out of the 450mm barrel. I am right at 910 FPS with 43.8 grn NSA slugs, block/0.5mm jet and 150 bar on stock reg. I have the large plenum and a huma reg to try, maybe this winter when not hunting with it. Thinking the slugs would be better around 930 to 950 fps.

I tested 25 yards with the tune and it sucked out loud. The 50.15gr were spattering in a 3" circle. So back to the table to tune this a little better.

I dropped the reg to 150 and went back to the 0.0mm/0.4mm nozzles. Getting 890 now with the 50.15 and much tighter.

I will have to try mine at 25 yards. I just assumed it is good, since its good at 50, 75 and 100 yards.

I am geting 130 shots per fill .22 16 gr jsb with the 350cc tank at 300 bar untill it starts droping at 100 m at aprox 270 ms

103 bar and 2x .8 jets

Here is just a group shot yesterday at the range with ventilation on and next to some .308 power burners with rapid fire in 6 seconds and eight shots and
20210608_205347.1623347420.jpg
only a bipod on the front end.first shots fell a little to the left ( my foult on the trigger )than it settled .

If i will rest on a bag at the back end and take my time to aim corretly the group size will be much smaller.

Groups of 6 cm are not un usual

Trigger control is the main concern for getting smaller groups Is my experience .

Your groups may improve further if you use two regulators. One set a at about 130bar in a standard plenum going down to one set at 100bar in a compact plenum before the valve block. I'm already doing this with a standard regulator set at 130 and a huma regulator set at 100. The groups are amazing!

How did you set it up with two regs? One on the bottle?
