EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

Been working on this for a little while, now we have a working prototype we have been testing and it works a treat, the bottle can be removed without losing air from the bottle or the top tank and can be filled on the gun, compatible with the FX bottle valve

Bit more testing to do and make it look nice but it's nearly there now

Keep us all posted, would love to get one when they’re available.

Very cool Geoff!

Any suggestions on a buy it once bottle other than the "official" Edgun one? Can't stand the decal on it....

Why not buy the edgun one and wrap it. I like the looks and the added protection.

Ah, nice. What did you use? Suppose I could Paracord it a well.....

This is what I use 50mm takes some effort but I like the end result I actually used the smaller ones to do my tubes.

So to Hobbyman and the rest of you that have REPR reg tubes on order with Brian, do you also have new forward plugs/valve sections on order as well? Or are none of you planning on using it below .25 caliber?

And have you verified that, while the plastic inserts don't work on the old valve, that the REPR reg is meant to work with the old original valves we have? Meaning you are able to use the REPR with .25 and .30 calibers?

I haven't specifically seen mention of this and didn't ask Brian when last we spoke..figure some others might be wondering, too. Thanks.

BTW, I bought Scott's extra bottle from him. It's a nice fit and I mostly hunt so the size works for me. I wrapped my top tube and put the neoprene sleeve over the bottle. Not sure what the largest diameter bottle is it would fit over, but I don't think much more than this.

Deepbass, I haven’t ordered yet ...... I’m going to wait until they come in stock before I pull the trigger on the REPR. In the meantime , I found an original 600 mm smooth twist barrel. I’ll have it fitted with a mock shroud for shooting the JSB pellets. What I’d really like to find are cam lock type bolts so I can speed up the barrel swap process. Not that it’s taking a long time now . I’m thinking similar to the way a QD scope mount works maybe just use two rather than the four screws . I’ve got the 350mm barrel really dialed in right now shooting 38gr. Cast BBT HP slugs. I did open up one of my sizing bushings to .2524 which is the absolute biggest that will fit in the magazine. I don’t post pics of my groups but I know if I aim at anything inside 70 yards at this point there’s no way I’m going to miss. That’s with the rifle rested of course.

I just installed a 600mm maverick 22cal barrel in my Leshiy2. I had a 350mm Alfa barrel, hades picked up 100fps and 5ftlb. I tested a few different ammo, monsters were moving 821 for 38fpe,They were 719fps previously. I have not touched the reg, I was also able to use the factory shroud. I will either have to slow it down a little or bump the reg up for the monsters.

Anyone else disappointed that the hornet mod doesnt come with a thicker washer or something that will help the gun latch? Because of the hornet mod, the gun no longer locks into place when folded.

I couldn't see them on Ed Gun West's site but you can certainly get extended pin locks

Although EGW has a bag full of them, as seen in one of his videos, I got no help when I inquired about getting a pin lock.

Ended up ordering the 16mm pin lock form Edgun.shop in Spain.

Yeah I’m not surprised about the pins being an issue to get from Brian… I’ve spent well over $3K with him and have had an issue with something EVERY single time I placed an order. Top it off with the fact he takes zero accountability for any of his service blunders and instead chalks it up to the fact he’s only selling “toys” and not insulin so how out of line it is for me to complain about an issue that I sent 3 emails proactively to avoid happening as based on my prior interactions with him I had good foresight and was 100% correct since it played out just as I thought it would when my emails were overlooked or ignored…! His stuff is much pricier than insulin and when dumping that kind of money a very basic level of service is expected (the same as if I were buying something from toys r us would be acceptable). I don’t understand the folks who rave about his service but I for one have started to order from Spain and they are excellent! Items delivered 3 days earlier than expected and got to me in only 4 days! For the same thing I waited 2+ months to get from EDW who lives in the same state as I do! Anyways, sorry for the rant and to post completely off topic but I do feel a little better now im not gonna lie LOL!

I feel your pain. I can't say I had a pleasant experience with him either. We had a conversation about setting the reg at 150 bar before shipping, and he said sure, no problem, just put it in the notes before placing the order. He didn't have the reg tester in stock, and I wanted to reg set to 150 bar. The L2 arrived, and I took the first few shots and noticed it was shooting slower than expected for the barrel size, projectile, jet setting, and "150 bar" pressure setting. I emailed him back saying the reg wasn't set to 150 bar and that I wanted to send it back to be fixed, and he replied, "We usually do not adjust the regulators when new". I was taken aback by this as I didn't care what you usually do when new. I requested a service that you agreed to, and you didn't perform the action and decided to make an excuse over making it right. It's the reason why I haven't purchased another one from him, as I purchased this particular one for my father and was going to get the reaper for myself. I love the L2, but I can say the same for Brian.

Leshiy 2 update........... Star Date: 2021.10.30..........

Yesterday I received delivery of a .22 600mm Alfa Precision polygonal unchoked barrel.

L2-600mm22 - 1.1635631271.jpeg

I am a drooling fool with the power and accuracy this barrel is producing. All I did when I got it is wipe off the external oil and do 3 pull throughs on the barrel with a barrel snake.

Messed around a bit finding the right nozzle combo for the barrel volume and then did some testing.

Reg @ 55 bar = JSB 18gr @ 800 fps

Reg @ 70 bar = JSB 18gr @ 885 fps

Reg @ 120 bar = JSB 18gr @ 1070 fps

Reg @ 160 bar = JSB 33.95gr @ 940 fps

Reg @ 160 bar = NSA 31.2gr @ 920 fps

As you can see this barrel is easily hitting 65 fpe with heavy .22 ammo at very respectable speeds.

Accuracy - shooting the JSB 18s is a one hole group at 45 yards - this barrel is no joke. I will post pics soon.

Also going to put a CF sleeve on the barrel for looks.

Sean,

What I am drooling over is what looks like a REPR reg setup. Did you buy a new gun, or were you able to score an aftermarket/accessory REPR? I pre-ordered on EdgunWest but have seen nothing so far!

Chris

Chris - I am still rocking my original SN#0232 Leshiy 2. The valve semi function has had a few replacement parts to keep it going - but only 1 time so far - and it's still going strong. No idea how much ammo through this airgun but gotta be approaching 10K.

I managed to grab a REPR from the classifieds. Funny thing is I managed to do with it exactly what the first poster with a REPR was complaining about - stripped the oring at the end of the piston by loosening it too much and then screwing it down under pressure. Found a standard metric oring to replace it (probably not the same size) and it's been running like a champ.
