They work fine without a slug mag.Asides from hades which I think shoot pretty well - does anyone have any other recommendations for 30 cal slugs or pellets that work with the standard mags? I would like to try fx hybrids but they prob need slug mags ????
firm believer in that setup i presume? im aware you run the fx barrels but was just curious about this option allbeit expensiveIf you have the Impact liners the conversion is pretty straight forward.
If you don't have FX barrel/liners the expense will be about the same....was just curious about this option allbeit expensive
FX hybrids have by far the best expansion. I've retrieved several from actual targets and they mushroom out perfectly dumping all their energy. So I pulled these out of 4 bits of chipboard layed on top of each other at 25 yards, I dug them out of the back of the third board, 2x hades 30 on the left and 3x zan 303 41gn on the right, I'm not that impressed with the expansion, I realise if shot into something with some moisture, an animal, clay, etc I'm sure it would look quite different - these were traveling at about 825 for hades and about 770 for the zan - I will try shooting some fruits later, I wanna see big expansion/ damage, I'll give fx hybrids ago too

This is what I want to hear, and that they work in standard L2 mags ! Hopefully they suit my barrel, I have the new premium poly LW barrel unchoked - from edgun Spain, seems pretty good so farFX hybrids have by far the best expansion. My .25 has a barely noticeable play while my .22 doesn’t. I asked Edgun west about it and was told basically as long as it cycles that’s what we care about and I agree. The .25 cycles and is consistent so I just left it alone. Yes it’s annoying lol but there’s nothing that I want to do about it because it works. If I mess with it not only will the warranty void but I’m risking cycling issuesHow much play must the hinges that connects the butt to the front?
If you watch the Edgun leshiy channel on the latest episode he mentions using the butt of the 9mm on a .25 front making it to what he refers to as a super leshiy. I have the 9 and also own several other smaller caliber leshiy 2s but i haven’t tested the 9mm butt on other calibers. I don’t know if Edgun west sells the butt separate but you can always ask. I can imagine it makes a ton of power in small calibers. The one I own has a huma reg not a reprxI have a legitimate question which probably only official edgun guys could answer, unless anyone is in the know or has heard more, will the uprated plenum used in the 35 cal/ 9mm leshiy be made available in a kit to be able to upgrade a standard L2 - imagine the 30 cal barrel with the bigger plenum! You could seriously up the power and fps ! I just dont know if theres maybe other changes made throughout the gun other than the plenum? Stronger internals or slightly different materials in places to handle the extra bark of the increased power, if that's the case it will likely not be possible - but I'd love to be able to get a kit to up the power by about 40%! (I think that's about what it would be going by the numbers ive seen ....... Anyone have any insights to this?

I don’t think the volume of sales is there for the 9 to justify making extra butts. Just my thinking. When the 9mm came out I asked if the parts would be available. At the time he said no. But you'd think that'll change eventually as it would probably become annoying for people to have to special order and confirm they actually own the 9mm version before-hand.
Should work fine. Trust me you want the 9 it’s a hoot to shoot. Thanks for the input, so if a 9mm L2 butt is able to pair onto a standard front I guess theres no issues with the bigger plenum being too much power for the standard front, but Id still like to know if the standard forward plug would pair with the bigger plenum, I'd rather not have to buy an entire butt, but I suppose having two would be handy, could have one tuned for low power 22 and one for super power 30! Hmmmm
