EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

Where did you get it from?

The EdgunLeshiy Shop, they ship to the States.

This was worth 3-4db in the stock shroud. Not earth shattering, but much more pleasant.

I was unimpressed with the accuracy of my .22 350mm LW barrel until I put this air stripper on the barrel. Now it's a laser. .22 hole groups at the 17 yds I can currently shoot at in my basement. Really strange.

Nice, 3D printed? Your own creation?

I agree. Interesting.

While it's nice that you can order from EDgun Leshiy Shop in Spain, if you're in the U.S., I suggest ordering from Brian at EDgun West. If you have any problems with the products that you've received, he will take care of you. It only makes sense.

When EdgunWest has the item I want on it’s website, I order from Brian. But when EdgunWest doesn’t have the items list on the wedsite I order elsewhere.

I found this new modular scope mount for AR’s that I thought would be great for the Leshiy classic and version2. This would allow to easily add a red dot to mount on the Leshiy with the stock moderator . I tried some 45 degree picatinny mounts on my Leshiy 2 but found there was not enough room when mounted under the scope or in front of the compact scope I had on it. I wound up getting the Valkyrie aluminum forearm and then had to do some modifying of the M-Loc nuts to get the 45 degree picatinny mount mounted but then the Hollosun and a Sig Sauer red dot was too low for getting a center line of sight. I wound up having to get a 1/2” picatinny rail extension mount and then it was perfect. When you count up the cost of the Valkyrie forearm and added moderator needed the $360 for this scope mount including the the optional 45 degree mount for the red dot, it isn’t bad. And you still have the original look and compactness of the OEM moderator. And it’s ambidextrous.

I FIXED IT!!!!!!!!

So it was the spring in the valve that I suspected in Theory 1, it either got too compressed by 3mm or so, or the shoulder that is on the little pin wasnt holding it where it is meant to be and slipped over reducing the effectiveness of the spring as it did nothing...or possibly a missing part? See below.

If you look at the valve schematic, there is a part called "sphere" (part 14), that the "disconnecter" pin (Part 5), goes through before entering the breech area.

I suspect that is to keep the slight tension on that tiny spring (part 2), which seems to be for holding this pin back towards the valve so it doesn't flop forward and snag onto the trigger blade/pusher rendering your L2 useless.

My sphere was not inside the valve? Weird! Was it revised and no longer used? Where did mine disappear to? It cannot come out of the pin hole unless it disintegrated

and vanished as no remnants of it were found in the breach or inside the sacred valve.

Yes I did it, I opened the sacred valve, not that scary at all and went back together 3 times with ease before taking the plunge to add a tiny cut off of a spring in there to brace the spring better.

Results:

Semi auto is now working flawlessly again!

Breech doesn't jam shut after each shot!

Magazine indexes perfectly!

I did not have nail varnish on my valve so it shows no tampering either. I suspect we are kept out of that area due to patent as it is not that complicated in the valve.

Thank you for everybody that contributed in helping me get to the bottom of this, sometimes just bouncing ideas off of like minded tinkerers is all you need to solve a mystery!

...just woke up this morning and decided to give this a shot after very careful and logical consideration.

Now I better go and give my wife some Valentines day love and attention for the rest of the day as my face has been buried in my L2 for the past 2 days, so its her turn lol...keep your dirty minds clean gentlemen ;-)

YAY!

Great to hear, big congrats and thank your for your research and pictures! - so now we know the "disconnector pin" (Part 5) should have no end play and if any problem with the indexing mechanism or if the "Pusher" (part 7) get stuck besides the "disconnector pin" - there could be a problem of the "sphere" (part 14) missing

Great job Sherlock! :)

Only the brave Towle!

Thank you for your help and being willing to check your L2 for me, it was those little things that really help me decide on Theory 1 being the culprit.

Still a mystery how my L2 has even worked for 3.5 months without the missing "sphere"???

At least others will hopefully learn a thing or two from my issue if (when) anything similar happens to theirs.

Only happy to share and help out as the L2 is not as intimidating as it seems to figure out as I hav had to tweak/fix a few things as mine wasnt 100% right when I received it.

The deeper you delve, the more you learn and the best way for me is to make a mistake, learn from it and never make that same mistake again!

Elementary my dear Watson, elementary!

*Just kidding I was **** scared to open the valve, but it was nothing to fear, only gained knowledge on how I could possibly field repair my L2!

Thanks @Peskadot671, yes it is a really clever design yet simple concept...

I am getting my head around most aspects of the L2 and how it all operates.

This will help me keep her in top top performance for years to come without having to ship it abroad or get no response from the dealer in my country! (I'm not in the USA)

Sometimes its the simplest solutions to a seemingly complicated matter.

I apologise for dominating this thread with my issue the past couple of days, I truly hope it doesn't happen to anybody else, but if it does, there will always be this successful archive of the fix. The question is, do I get a replacement "sphere", or leave it as it is...?

Its working perfectly, literally no wobble or back and forth movement that is not under some spring tension, however if there is a required tolerence that I have perhaps taken away, that may put stress on the valve, it appears to work perfectly fine and just unloaded 4 mags without issue.

Maybe I'll make one a coil shorter, or find a suitably sized steel ball with a hole in it of the required diameter to put in there if I cant easily get the part from an L2 dealer..

Just saying that as I have waited for over 3.5 months so far for a trigger spring (still waiting), I am currently running one I made myself, but to be honest, it feels better than the original anyway...

Perhaps its time to also prioritise existing orders that have manufacturing QC issues along with the new orders?

Outstanding work Comtruise!!

Yes we all learn from each other's comments, and findings.

I started having some mag index issues again late yesterday. After adjusting the mag friction screw on Thursday, I thought I had it solved, after shooting 250 rounds with no issues. Then got up yesterday morning, and it was miss indexing again every 10th shot or so.

So I adjusted the screw a little more and it got better.

It would be nice to get some feedback from the Leshiy team about this.

Is anyone experiencing any indexing issues at all?

Thanks, Scott

So I have a question then... on EdgunWest.com there is a few places where it talks about the valve assembly and that we are not meant to open it. This goes to the extent that it actually says “DO NOT OPEN THE VALVE THIS BREAKING THE SEAL OF THE VALVE (RED MARK) WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY ”. So now that you have dug into the guts of it and found a fault in yours, does that mean you have killed your warranty? I would do the same if I had the courage and the problem you had, but seems unfair that since you didn’t send it back them for repair and wait a month or more for it, you now have no warranty???
