EdGun Leshiy full review (after 5 months & 5K pellets)

Due to demand I am doing another limited run of 10 printed grips. I will include the Magpul AA insert which can be used to store batteries or pellets. Again, I don't want money for the grip but I ask for $25 to cover shipping costs to wherever you are. If you want one please Paypal me at [email protected] and also PM me with your request. Please BE SURE to include your shipping address in the Payment notes. Grips will ship in roughly two weeks after all have been printed.

As others have replied, this is a terrific and comprehensive review, one of the best for any firearm I'ver read. I like the periodic follow-ups as well. The photography alone is worth the time to check out this thread. In fact, I sent the link for that very purpose to my son and my grandson who are getting pretty serious about outdoor photography (I thought airgun stuff was expensive...camera bodies and lenses are much more so).

I've been fighting the urge to buy one of these Leshiys ever since I heard about them. I've been bowhunting for 50 years. Some of my favorite PB rifles are single shots (Ruger #1 International, Winchester Low-Wall, Dakota Miller (never owned the Miller, I can't do $5,000 for just the gun, etc.). I'm not bothered by the single shot of this Leshiy. I'm a very conservative hunter/shooter (Hate to miss) so I never make a decision based upon shot capacity. Having written that, I do admit my favorite airgun is my Steyr Hunter Scout Auto -- it is just so fun to unload that 5-shot strip mag!

The combo I'd like would be forest green finish, .25, custom grip (I like those finger molded ones pictured in this thread) with the Dedal scope.

It think this would be a perfect companion in my bowhunting tree stands to keep squirrels on their toes.

Thanks for the effort to compile this thread.

Thank you very much.

So I read this review and this gun looks cool and all but for $1300 and it being single shot I just can't seem to justify the cost. Also, no matter what gun you have there is never a guarantee if you're hunting that you won't possibly need a followup shot. If you're hunting with this and its super cold outside how easy will it be to reload quickly ? Just my opinion and no offense to any of you Leishy fans !!

Look at the pellet dispenser in the below linked video. I think it would just as fast to reload as any bolt action for a follow up shot. I think you'd be pretty much OK in any situation barring a rhino, grizzly or lion charging you.

does anyone know where to get the pellet holder that is in this video?

That's Russian guy, he made that pellet holder for himself

A lot of people were asking if he is planning to sell that holder, but he stated a few times he is not interested in selling that. He improved his holder a couple times. At the beginning it was not transparent, he made that exposed side from transparent plexiglass, on next generation he added numbers, so you can see how many pellets you have.

With each click you see pellet skirt exposed towards you, just grab with two fingers and pull, charging Leshyi literally takes 2 seconds

It is very well made but he stated few times it took him a lot of time and he doesn't want to sell

For my first post here, I have to say that I'm not sure if finding this forum thread was a blessing or a curse!

I don't get many chances to get out and shoot anymore, between work and weekend hiking / mountain climbing in the PNW. There I was early last week just searching for ways to lighten my trusty Benjamin P-rod - when I came across this (excellent) write up on the Leshiy. 3 days (and ~$2,500) later, I placed an order for one with several addons to build a gun that my P-rod could never be.

My Leshiy will be here next week. My only my regret is not being a few days early to get the scope that I now want for it (wound up setting on a Hawke AirMax 2-7x32

If you haven't ordered it yet you may want to look into the Burris TImberline if you need more magnification (4.5-14). I just got mine and it is sweet. The longer eye relief works perfect on the Leshiy so that the rear of scope is in front of the hinge. Got mine from Sportoptics for $237. MUCH clearer then the Bugbuster I had on it.

That's an interesting scope, would love to see a photo on the Leshiy. My Hawke arrived last night, it's fairly heavy - but the reticle is really nice. I'm planning to shoot between 50m - 100m, and probably higher for paper targets. I have a Burris AR-332 that I might use for short range hunting, but I plan on getting another scope for longer range targets (something with illumination, it's dark here this time of year).
