I recently saw a WTB ad in the classifieds for an R3M and thought I’d answer it because I haven’t shot mine in at least two years. I sent the member a message telling him that I had one I’d be willing to sell, and included a picture from several years ago intending to take more if the party looking was at all interested. It was late when I saw the ad and because the person looking was evidently NOT interested, I forgot about it for a couple of days. After my remaining brain cells finally line up enough that I remembered the incident, I thought I’d pull it out of my safe and maybe look it over and shoot it some. Upon doing so, I noticed that it was empty of air which was strange. The last time I looked at it (removed the scope to put it on something else temporarily), it was low but still holding air. I put a little in it to see if it had a noticeable air leak that I could hear and it does not. It is leaking, but it’s too slow to hear and seems to lose only about 20 to 30 bar over several days. I know these guns are simple and robust so I’m sure I won’t have any trouble with tracking it down and stopping it, but before I start, I thought I’d see if there are any members here who might throw some tips my way. Regardless, I’ll post my findings here once I complete the process in hopes of helping anyone with a Matador slow leak in the future.
