Looking at both of these rifles for sale on h the e forums and wondering which people prefer more and which one is better at 100 yard ranges

I have had the r3 .22 std, r3m long .25 and r5 std .30
The leyla is a similar platform to my r5 but much shorter.
The r3 are really lightweight and easy to grip and carry. Trigger is ok, singleshots are best. R3m may need to be worked over to be decent.
My R5 trigger cannot be set as light safely as my old r3 .22 could, can be due to the caliber and power level
I would decide based on whether I would want multi or single shot.
But not unlikely, I would go for an oldfashioned Taipan Veteran. Good luck with choosing.

Leyla 2.0 if you want a great off-support hunting rig, but IMHO I think the mechanics of operation are noisy. Leyla 2.0 feels like a Russian made beast and thats a good thing. However, I too would go for an old fashioned Taipan Veteran 1 and I had no problem with the rear lever cocking, anti-double feed, and quiet! If these Leshiy L2's give me any more fits, I'm going back to a Veteran.

I've had an R3 .22 on loan to me since last summer. I've only shot slugs through it and it's unreal! Daystate Howlers or NSA .217 (20.2gr, I think). Head shots @ 125 yards & more ìs fairly routine with it, HONEST! ALMOST bought it from its owner but can't bring myself to sell any of mine to fund it.

100 yards might be stretching the capabilities of the Leyla 2.0 ... I was always under 30 yards. Long range or bench work just not in the cards for me.
