Tuning Edgun R5 air cylinder locking screw

Anyone see this video? Does anyone know if this is only pertaining R5 single shots? My .25 R5M long does not have that locking screw. Could this be having an effect on the blow by that we have come to see from time to time?

If you're talking about the 2nd screw he's referring to at around the 07:50 mark in the video, that screw applies only to the R5 single shot series. It was an upgraded part. Here's another video from Ed. It's around the 10:25 minute mark if you want to get to the nitty gritty.

Sorry, I typed the above around 3am. Now that I think of it, if you're referring to the screw to remove the air cylinder on your R5M, you just need to loosen one screw. You need to remove your stock to get to it.

No I was asking about the screw in the air cylinder transfer port. But you answered that it’s just for the single shots. Thanks

It has been my experience that the occasional blowback that you described can be caused by not fully closing the cocking lever. You must make sure you are firm with it when you move it forward to the cocked position.
