Edgun r5m ammo test

When shooting slugs theirs more surface drag in the barrel they tend to be slower but if you accomplish good good groups at slower speeds generally they will remain good groups at higher speeds. In other words it’s about the tune and harmony of the gun not about speed. With that being said it is very tedious and aggravating to find the tune using the regulator pressure and hammer spring. But the trial and error is worth wile once you have achieved the tune the reward is very rewarding. Look for groups and document everything that you change that does make a difference. Hope that helps

This i know just throwing it out there that other ammo shoots well in a Edgun besides kings and you don't need high speeds to achieve good accuracy! Everyone is caught in the hype that you need speed when it's all about accuracy that trumps it all!!![NoPunintended]

Thanks for the info. I own the long in the same clothes. Which barrel length is yours, and which of all the pellets (not slugs) performed best for you at longer distances?

To be honest I only tried the 31.7g NA slugs at 57yds I was out and had those at the time in my bag and they shot great! The hades was accurate enough to hit a can multiple times at 70yds. I'm using the standard r5m and the hades are more accurate then kings out my barrel
