Everything Edgun is appealing to me. I love the look of this pistol w the moderator. Anyone who has experience w this gun and has any input please do. Thinking about making this my next purchase.

I have one, in .177. It is amazing.
I hunt with it, good for squirrels and smaller. Anything bigger, like turkey, I use a Ranchero.
I bought the pistol used and the tagline on the ad was: hit what you are aiming at. Couldn't sum up the experience any better. It's built like a tank, handles like a Ferrari. It does have a crunchy trigger, just inherintly in the design. Not insurmountable, but it isn't a 10 meter pistol. It is a 40 yard, ground squirrel head shot pistol, if rested.
I shoot silhouette with it (airgun Silhouette) using a very small red dot, and typically shoot a 33 out 40, off hand. I'm not the best pistol shot, but as Adam Carolla says, nobody receives pleasure as much as me- and this thing is a giver.
With the moderator, very quiet. I detuned my to 10 ft/ lbs, for 25 very consistent shots.
I'll never sell it, which is probably the best reccy I could give?

i recently talked to BRIAN and we talked EDGUN.not sure about the VELES,,,EDGUN has come out with some new stuff the R5 standard long and huge lolall 30 cal single shot new stock ,,,coming in april the new R5M multi shot 25 cal side cocking super nice,,, also other new offerings

Great pistol. Mine is a .22, I swapped the reg out for a Human reg as I decreased the power to 12 ft lbs for field target hunter pistol. (no tools required to swap the reg out!) Although I have not shot a match with it yet, I get about 30 good shots and hit what I'm aiming at with a red dot on it. Something about Russian aluminum, seems lighter and stronger than ours. Vey simple and thought out design by Ed. Trigger is a little mushy, but you get use to it. I would buy it again. I like the single shot load as well, goes good with my Leyla

Nice, here’s my Lelya, same action ad the Veles. 
I also upgraded to the HUMA reg with wonderful results.

The trigger was very average until I learn't how to set it, you don't adjust anything but the method is to open the action, flick the safety on, load a pellet, close the action, depress the trigger with the safety still on... That sets it, then when you remove the safety to shoot the trigger is entirely different, it has a nice short first stage, rests well on the second stage and breaks very predictably and crisp, it's fantastic.

The new Edgun Lelya with double midlever cocking looks to be a winner and when they come out with the new R5M Matador, I might just have to have one in .25 cal.

I have a few different red dots .one has a 2X reticle, good for picking out grey furred creatures from the dirt background, but the dot is a little large. I like the smallest dot possible, with a light form factor. I've a shoulder holster from Mike's, in the Sam Brown style. A scope does fit with the pistol but a small red dot allows it to nestle deep in the pocket, protecting it from branches.
spend as much as you can for the smallest dot possible? A cheap red dot works, but lacks lacks precision..
My favorite for doing everything is a Burris fast fire, but again, I've a bevy to pick from. I purchased all of them used, btw, saving hundreds of $$$'s
