Both get really good reviews and the Arken is sig cheaper. Anyone have experience with both? Is the element worth the extra dough ?

If you're looking for a 4-16, check out the specs on the Arken EPL-4 4-16. The weight is 24 oz compared to the SH-4G2 @ 36 oz.
The Helix is about the same as the EPL, 23.8 oz

I don’t have personal experience but I’ve been looking at the same and the Arken seems to be decent but Element seems a little well put together on all fronts.

I had a Helix before and wasn't anything special to me. I do really like the Arkens though. The EPL4 4-16x44 is a great scope that I really enjoy

I gave my Helix to a friend, my other two elements are in my cabinet, my Arkens are on my two FX's. Yeah, I'm a fan boy.

I would probably say the same, but mine is still waiting for the rifle to arive.
I just like the hand in the designby prominent successful airgunners.
My Helix is SFP moa, and that reticle was designed by Ted Beir, of Tedsholdover fame.

I have both and prefer the Arken turrets, but you need to decide if the extra weight is ok. Either choice is a good optic, but also take a look at the EPL4 Arken.

I purchased a,helix and I send it back the same day it looked like a upgraded UTG.. for my use Arken have worked better..

I currently have the Arken EPL 6x24x50 on my Cricket 2 tac 60 and I am waiting on the delivery of a SH4J 6x24x50. I know its heavier but I mostly shoot from the bench so the extra weight shouldnt be an issue. I have spent much more on big game scopes and they were no better than the Arken IMO.
