Element Optics, Nexus

Hi AGN,

I have been wondering for a few days if any of the "common man" from AGN has been able to try out the Nexus yet? I would really like to hear opinions from anyone who has looked through the glass or better yet has bought it and had time behind the wheel. I have to admit I'm intrigued.

As always thank you very much for all the help along the way!

It is a great scope. Very clear edge to edge. The turrets do not lock, but for me, I do not see a problem. I wanted a side wheel so had Eric at scope-werks.com make one for me. I also like flip up scope covers, so had to get a set of them also. So it cost me an extra $150 for wheel and covers.

Now the scope is very accurate on settings and the glass is superior to anything else I own. I highly recommend it.

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to reply. Today was just one of those days. I really appreciate some first hand knowledge! Locking turrets are not a deal breaker for me either. I would very much like to be able to use scope stickers, is there enough room to use many of them on elevation?

Some folks are worried about it being a start up company, but for me knowing it is really FX, I think they will have a pretty good chance. Normally I'm a Vortex fan boy. I started buying there scopes back when they were calling around begging dealers for an order. Unfortunately, even though I have them on top of my FX rifles they really just don't fill the bill for my needs.

If anyone else has a thought, I'm all ears.

Thank you very much,

Eamon

The MTC is 5x30. The parallax adjustment is not good at all. The labeled yardage on it is way off. Second scope and it does same thing. Optics are very good on it though. The MTC representative even told me it does not work great.

Target competition. As you know this is not one of the Viper Pro's best features. So if you're using it for Field Target it won't work very well. I don't know what you were told when you did your research but the Viper Pro Series in not rated very favorably for FT.
