ELR Fun day on the mountain.

We had a great day on the mountain shooting ELR this weekend even though the conditions weren't that great.

Last weekend, Long_Shot and I were fortunate enough to have some really good conditions that had us shaking our heads at how consistent and accurate we could hit small objects at 700 yards. The only problem was that we were at that beautiful canyon that I love shooting across and there's no way of setting up any targets unless you want to backpack into it the night before. Lol.

Fortunately, we discovered a new shooting area that is perfect for setting up targets at long range and you can drive to the different yardages. Unfortunately, we didn't have the great conditions we had last weekend.

The wind was pretty rough early on and made us work our butt's off to hit anything. We even had some light sprinkles but never gave up.

I had my M3 Impact, Long_Shot had his custom Cricket and we were both shooting .25 Corbin slugs.

First stop, clay pidgeon at 687 yards.

Moving along to 708 yards shooting at one of these fun little beauties. 😁

And with Hall🎃ween just around the corner, a pumpkin at 786 yards.

And finally a 12oz soda at 786 yards to end the day.

We had a whole lot of misses, a lot of close calls, and even a few hits but more importantly, we had a lot of fun.

How can a California ELR guy join you guys on your next extreme ELR outing?

I'm self efficient when it comes to multiple day shoots using my camper van.
I try to shoot ELR for a morning every weekend. This time of year gets a little tricky with trying to catch the weather right. Before too much longer snow will become an issue with shooting in the mountains.
Worst case scenario, we shoot at our local range but it "only" goes out to 600 yards. You're more than welcome to come shooting but it might be tough to make a good worth while trip this time of year.
