We had a great day on the mountain shooting ELR this weekend even though the conditions weren't that great.
Last weekend, Long_Shot and I were fortunate enough to have some really good conditions that had us shaking our heads at how consistent and accurate we could hit small objects at 700 yards. The only problem was that we were at that beautiful canyon that I love shooting across and there's no way of setting up any targets unless you want to backpack into it the night before. Lol.
Fortunately, we discovered a new shooting area that is perfect for setting up targets at long range and you can drive to the different yardages. Unfortunately, we didn't have the great conditions we had last weekend.
The wind was pretty rough early on and made us work our butt's off to hit anything. We even had some light sprinkles but never gave up.
I had my M3 Impact, Long_Shot had his custom Cricket and we were both shooting .25 Corbin slugs.
First stop, clay pidgeon at 687 yards.
Moving along to 708 yards shooting at one of these fun little beauties.
And with Hallween just around the corner, a pumpkin at 786 yards.
And finally a 12oz soda at 786 yards to end the day.
We had a whole lot of misses, a lot of close calls, and even a few hits but more importantly, we had a lot of fun.
