ELR mice/squirrel

I was told in another topic that slugs splitting the hair you’re aiming at well beyond 100 yards is common practice on YouTube. I don’t watch that stuff because I just prefer to set my own standards about what is realistic and what is not. I built a gun a while back when I thought having a high powered .25 would be the greatest thing ever. Once it was done, I didn’t use it as much as I thought. It’s basically a powder burner and the scope is not one I’d like to bang around in the woods. Lately I decided to get some use out of it. My dad gave me a feeder and I replaced the plexiglass with a steel plate. I set it up at 131 yards and now shoot mice off it at night. Plus one chipmunk. I’m currently 10 for 12 on mice. Here’s one tonight. His buddy in a panic took the 15 foot dive to safety.

This gun is MOM, minute of mouse at 130 yards. I’ve shot and killed almost everything I’ve aimed at out to 285 yards. If this is common practice on YouTube and you believe everything you see there, that’s great. I’m just posting because I’m just a regular dude letting you know it is possible if you put in the work. Just happened to be way more work than I thought. Definitely not over the counter components.

@Vetmx Let me just stop you right there. These aren't "regular dude" activities my friend. You are an air sniper. Nice shot by the way. I saw something fly off of it. I assume it was an eyeball.

Great work! This is right about the time you gotta worry about those suckers getting in your house too! Say, from someone like me who doesn’t know anything about metal work are there feeders that one can buy that will withstand .25 cal 36 grainers to 93grain .357? Right now I have to wait till I have a perfect almost “skimming” type shot or it will blow up my whole feeder and the animal! Lol thanks! Great shooting! What is fps with your custom rig there?

That was his buddy jumping ship. The one I shot flew over to the left and just kinda wiggled a little. Here’s his buddy coming back. Watch its reaction when it sees the dead one laying there. It got out of there quick.

One more tonight. Not a clean kill but it was messed up. There is a 1/2” wood lip that goes around the feeder so the mice are only partially exposed. I may have clipped it and fragged the mouse. Not sure if this is considered a hit or a miss. The mouse did fall from the feeder after I quit filming. Just not going to walk all the way over there at night to confirm a dead mouse.

Pard NV007V. It looks absolutely horrible because I’m shooting over 130 yards and I have my scopes magnification cranked up. If I only turn my scope up to maybe 9X, it’s not too bad. When I leave my scope on 2.5- 6X, it’s really clear. But those mice are just so tiny that far away. Here’s one tonight that I turned my scope up even more trying to get a slug just over that wooden lip that partially obstructs their body. I won’t zoom that much anymore. It was rough. But it’s dead with a nice pop.

@Vetmx Gotta ask...what does that bird feeder look like in the daylight? Most bird feeders wouldn't survive the artillery pounding you're putting on it.
Next time I’m over there filling it up I’ll snap a picture. There is an opossum over there that stops by nightly to do cleanup. But it doesn’t go up the tree. Something else cleans up on the feeder. In the morning before work, some days there will be one or two carcasses or parts laying on the feeder. When I get home they are gone.

Fantastic shot on that tiny mouse and nice video!
