📈 End-of-Year Balance:

How much $$ did you spend in 2024❓

Seriously.
How • much • money • did • you • spend • on • airgunning • in • 2024?

I know the excuse 😉: Some people can't do the calculation — because they don't keep track.

So they are never in danger to experience the shock I am just trying to recover from.... 🥴

This afternoon — for fun I thought — I added up the balance.

Without gasoline for trips to hunt and target shoot.
Just projectiles, scope mounts, lights and batteries, silencers, accessories, 1 gun and 2 scopes (used).

➠ And all I could do was GASP!! 😵

⭓ I don't know how it could add up that quickly to that much.
⭓ I went through the list twice.
⭓ Still don't understand..... 🤷🏻‍♂️

⬛ 2025 will have to be different. ⬛

This year I bought 3 tins of slugs for a gun on loan & 2 tins of pellets to test, that's it! I'm blown away how "self contained" I was this year. Wonder if my wife's pissed for not being able to bitch at me about the USUAL yearly outflow. I'll bet it'll never happen again :ROFLMAO:. Oh crap, I just remembered the Yong Heng I got in April. Still, an inexpensive year.

I never tried boating
so I guess I'm a bit more sensitive to high dollar amounts than some of us here who have floated done that particular stream....

Someone mentioned astronomy? Mmm, that's a first. But if taking photos of scenery that is a stonethrow away is expensive, taking pictures of stuff millions of light years away can't be cheap....

Carry on.

For me being new to air it was not friendly on the wallet
Started with avenger .25 and a cheapy amazon compressor gobs of pellets a cheap scope then my wallet got gang banged with a vulcan 3hp
30 a tnc225r gobs of slugs then a full cordin swadge settup my wallet curls up and cries everytime i look at it now

Thirteen posts and not one of you has posted an actual dollar amount 🤣
I will grant that it would be embarrassing for some but most of us are guilty of going above and beyond the limits of normal or average whatever that is.
2024 was not bad for me. bought 2 guns, ones was $1,800.00 the other was an older FX Cutlass and only $450.00. Two new scopes, $459.00 each. that was it for actual hardware. I have been using up several large buys on slugs from 2023 so no money spent there.I am migrating more to pellets and just guessing here but close to $500.00 in misc items that include pellets. OH crap!! another $450.00 to rebuild the top end of my compressor.
so roughly $3,700.00 and that can be rounded up to an even $4,000.00 to cover any oversights.
2023 was far more expensive
2025 is going to be less expensive because I will start out with a credit when the wife’s M3 sells and there are no guns on my immediate horizon. I intend to keep it that way, but ya just never know.

Off the top of my head I got 2 Taipans for $1700. Sold some accessories and one Taipan to my brother in law for $800. Bought 2 Discovery scopes at around $160 each. Couple rings and such around $40 total. I think 1 order of ammo for $150. And a XM1 Bullshark piece of junk for $459. Oh crap I also got a Cometa Fenix 400 .22 at $265. So around $2150 give or take some Not bad for what I've done in the past lol. I'd expect 2025 to be even less.

We are only 27 days into 2025 and I’m already at $2k+. But I’m done. I think I’ve explored everything I needed to explore for a while. I’ve spent almost $2k on barrels in a year. Hopefully spending money like I have a research grant is done. I will spend money on the normal stuff when I need it but hopefully all done lighting money on fire. I have a new gun coming and I’m just going to stop and enjoy what I have this year. Hand to god I’m gonna try.
