N/A epic 2 light or Taipan vet 2 tactical

Primarily for pellet use maybe occasinal slug use. I like both companies. Which of these 2 do you prefer? now the light has edge in weight for easier walking, the vet has weight for the bench. However, both can do it all.

I know the epic 2 light has yet to be released, you can see it on IWA video. should be cheaper than the regular epic 2. Making it comparable in price the the vet 2 tactical.

i had a epic 2 for a month great gun built like an evol even does to same tension-er for barrel , epic way ahead of air arms with external reg ect and threads going into receiver but the epic has a way smoother action then the evol , I can only speak for taipan version1 which was proven , that being said my only gripe with epic and why i got rid of it agter playing around with it in 22 and 25 caliber 550mm barrels , was it was too heavy I did not know they lighting it up that would be my pic if it can shed a few pounds its way to solid even the folding stock solid but heavy ,

I don't think you could go wrong with either one. I recently purchased a Vet 2 550mm Tactical .22 and the build quality is exceptional, trigger is light and crisp, cocking is sublime best I have ever felt, accuracy is as good as it gets. It is a simple platform with videos online on servicing. I do think in smaller calibers like .177 & .22 a regular/standard valve is better than a balanced valve, Taipans have a standard valve. Both will shoot pellets and slugs with their CZUB non choked barrels. The Taipan has a theaded barrel into the receiver and it's tensioned, rock solid. It reminds me of my RAW but in bullpup form. It has a Kevlar bottle for a 300 bar fill. The Vet is heavy but balanced very well, feels vault like. Have fun researching and purchasing!

I don't have the lite version of the Epic Two (Mine is the heavier 550 bottle with hand-guard) but the build quality is as good as both my Vet 2's..
The vet's have smoother cocking but about the same trigger, excellent.
I haven't been able to get the Epic out yet but both the Vet's are spot on accurate. One is a vet 2 tac 700 .25 and the other Vet 2 550 .22.

Look up "lab Lift" in alibaba ...but be careful on the links...sometimes they send you somewhere else
it's cheaper in Ali and takes more time to receive, but if you need it right away ..can look it up on amazon
hmmm..prices have gone up

Asixxsix Lab Lifting Platform,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B57QK6BD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Glass Table Top Anti Slip Pads... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085HKSM45?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

This is the one I have. Probably cost more than manabeknives link but gets to one quicker. Also the closed foam pad I put on top, cut to fit, link above. I also put 4 clear silicone feet so it doesn't slip, link above.

I'm thinking this will really help with my .22 RAW. It is SUPER hold sensitive. One of these lifts should really help with consistency. And I will definitley get the feet and pad (y)

Thanks!

And sorry to derail things a bit OP!
Much more stable so it should help hold sensitivity! I use a lightly snug into my shoulder hold for my RAW and Taipan 👍.

I have never own a Taipan.... Everybody say those are very good rifles....

Emu, their build quality is second to none, CZUB barrels so they shoot pellets and slugs super accurately, only drawback is their weight, my 550mm is 8.8lbs un-scoped but I myself prefer a heavier gun, more stable to me in the field or off a bench. Barrel is theaded into the receiver like a PB. They also have a kevlar 300 bar fill bottle. Trigger is like my RAW. Their cocking is buttery smooth, sublime, better than any mechanical cocking I have used. Simple platforms and there is a full service video online from Balistas. You would like the .25 700mm I believe, mine is a .22 550mm.

Excellent !!

Taipan Slash will have a .30 Cal....

It worths to gives follow up.

It will be powerful and, if Taipan continues with tradition, super accurate......

That one can be a super alternative.

Thanks Ranchibi.
