Epic Epic Airguns Two arrived

Okay so i pushed a couple of slugs thru the new barrel, and unlike the LW one this barrel are not at all choked as it should be CUZ its a unchoked barrel.
So i of course get the initial seating in groves resistance, but then after that it is the very same light resistance the rest of the way thru the barrel.

Mind you there is a funny feel, like there is burrs in the barrel or something, at least this was not the same as my Vulcan 3 and its CZ barrel which i think have the same specs as this one at least in regard to number of lands ASO.
So i might see a improvement if i polish the barrel at some stage, but for now i will just shoot it as is

Groves left in slug look nice though, and not as pronounced as they was in the LW barrel, so confidence level are high.

When I tried to push a slug trough my Czub barrel I definitely felt a light choke at the end but not with the Lw one. Strange isn’t it?

Indeed.
My LW barrel had a massive 400 mm long choke in the middle of the barrel, what was on either side of that felt OK though, but i think something like that is no good for accuracy in barrel making, if you make a choke it must be at the end of the barrel.

My new CZ barrel leave slightly less groves in the slug than the Vulcan 3 did, but i assume what more it " ate " into the lead must have been in its choke.
Really looking forward to Saturday where weather still look to be excellent, Sunday is marginal and i think it will be better if i work on my shed then.

Ordered a few more slugs today, and since Krale got some 10.4 grain JTS dead center pellets in store i ordered a couple tins of those too, even if it is rare i shoot pellets.

So i was at the range today, and shot for 5 hours strait, and in spite of wind conditions you for sure have to work with or just live with.
Well lets just say i feel strongly encouraged here seeing the 13 gr Zan fly well, then 12.5 gr NSA, then 15 gr NSA and 16 gr Zam and finally 20 gr Zan too, which also seem to be okay, but you probably need to keep them at modest speeds in the late 800 to early 900 FPS and about 35 or so foot pounds.

VERY much looking forward to a perfect day.

I think they will be nice, but i will need at least modest winds to attempt that, or just luck with the timing on a regular day ( that happen too )

Sadly the weather for my area in the next week are quite windy and also rain / showers most of the days. looking at the very end of the 9 day weather prognosis there seem to be a chance Tuesday 11, but that can easy change, the weather gurus here are also government employed, so really no need to be too good at your job.
The most expensive storm here in the past decades, well the day before the weather gurus said " might get a little windy "

Mind you i will probably go shooting before that, but then i do not have high hopes

PS: you would think i would remember to buy a bag one day, but so far,,,,,, NOPE 100 % ghetto back rest.

is Faxe Kondi a Danish Red Bull?

Well sort off, in the old days that is, when it was laden with fructose / grape sugar and some coloring of dubious charter, they changed the recipe a few decades ago, and since then Faxe kondi is but as shell of its former mighty self. ( was launched over 50 years ago )
But it was touted back then as a drink for athletes. Also it was sold in the same dark green glass bottles as beer came in back then.
They do make a caffeinated version called booster.
I am pretty sure of faxe kondi made the original again, their sales would more than double,,,,,, i have on idea why the change recipe.

Rappers here even made songs about the original Faxe kondi.

I do NOT go near caffeinated drinks, or drink coffee all day, CUZ i am not sick or catastrophic energy deprived,,,, just old and deal with that in the burly manly way,,,,, doing as little as possible.

Well mine arrived today. Nice case, I like the feel of it. The weight does not bother me at all. I like it a little more robust. I got the 300mm .22 cal. Wanted something compact this time. Out of the box it shoots 18.1 grain JSB at 900 fps and does 3/4" groups at 40 yards. Ok for a rat killer I guess but now I will try some tuning, try other pellets and maybe a LW 24" barrel, It's a little on the loud side. I did not get the Epic thinga ma jig. I better tame it down cause its not back yard friendly just yet.

Congratulations! Beautiful! Have fun shooting it!

Also be careful taking the trigger assembly out, the first thing i did was lose one of the cross pins in that, so had to make a new one out of a drill.

Also it do have a few spring and ball locations, i think most are 3 mm balls, but one might be larger than that, i got a pack of 50 3 mm steel balls so i am ready to do a premature steel ball ejection.

The click ball for the hammer spring adjuster you can take out backwards before taking out the hammer spring part itself.
The click ball in the safety is a bit annoying, and same go for the click ball that is in the cocking handle slot cover opposite the handle ( no idea why that is there ) IMO it should just have been a screw / pin just like i am used to from RC cars drive shafts.

it do come with the adapter for regular moderators, i have 2 of those new after my barrel was a trip back to the factory.

PS: not personal experience, but one of the UK guys with a shorter and SUB 12 version, he found that the valve return thing in the valve system was flush with the end, and that cost him a lot of air, so if yours are like that ( you can see it by unscrewing air pipe and look in from that end )
Sadly you can not adjust it from there, you do have to take the valve housing, which are not quite strait forward.

I have no idea in regard to their own moderator, i use a Huma on mine.
Shooting .177 it is nice and quiet.
Moderators here require a permit, and i cant be bothered with one more of those.
Some time ago on my first outing with the Two and the not working LW barrel, a cat came to visit, it did not mind me shooting at targets further back over its head.
Dident mind me either just looked at me CUZ we think they hang out in the old shot shed, also in other places on my friends farm where there is cutouts so the cats can get in and hunt mice and what not.

Yeah the Veryons are nice i have the 6 - 24X44 or what ever it is, now in surplus CUZ i sold my Vulcan 3, it is sadly the older model with no IR

No, I'm a fixed stock fan. And I really like this one. Very comfortable.
Is the factory moderator any good? Quiet it down to what we expect?
And I put a Vector Optics Veyron 3-12X44 scope on it and could not be happier. Love those scopes.
I bought the Epic suppressor for a friend of mine so I asked him if I could give it a try and compare the Epic with the Huma Air. To be honest I did not find any difference ( only by hearing), both dumped the sound very effectively. Maybe the Epic one has a different tone, that’s it. The major improvement is that you gain 3,5 cm less with the Epic one because you do not need the 1/2 unf adapter
