EPOCH Skout at RMAC?

So how did they do? It seems Skout was totally overshadowed by the new Karma Red Panda. I didn't see any Skout in the Pro finals? What's difficult to discern; is this because Karma had significantly better shooters or is the Karma RP that much better? Hard to say...
Skout did not have a good go at NAC as far as reliability goes but they did have shooters make it into finals in sportsman and pro with really good scores, whether they got bugs worked out by RMAC or not? I don't know.

That red panda got quite the coverage once the scores settled thats for sure.

True, but the NAC can't really be compared to RMAC, apples to oranges as far as overall level of competition....

There were still some of the top scoring shooters in the airgun community at nac, a handful of names in the finals list were at NAC were also in the finals list at RMAC and the two winners shooting Karma rifles at RMAC were also shooters at NAC with other rifles. Maybe a bigger apple to a smaller apple but not apples to oranges IMO (edit: when it comes to the individuals in the finals in particular)

Agree, big apple to little apple is a better way to look at it. Good point. Currently the two big apples are RMAC and EBR...

I would be so excited to see NAC grow to what RMAC and EBR are and I truly think it will. I hope to attend the big events next year :D

Most of the Skout shooters are relatively new shooters and competed in sportsman bench rest. Jude Gardner took 2nd place in what I believe was his 3rd ever match.
Understood. And interesting how two different manufacturers took opposite paths to introducing their guns in competition. Skout got the average Joes to shoot Sportsman, and Karma got two of the best shooters in the country to shoot Pro. Both have their pros and cons.

Donny and the Simmons’s made for a heck of a debut, some great scores were put up!

If you're a bench shooter the answer to this is obvious. One look at the past results of any of the majors should be explanation enough.

To me this brings up a interesting question. Should prototype’s be allowed to shoot against production model’s? These competitions are so competitive now and with the amounts of money on the line, I as a shooter or a manufacturer would start to question the integrity of these guns and possibilities that the prototypes could win three or more major competitions with out the public able to purchase the rifles.

Maybe for a novice class or a pro class in both these classes it should be a totally stock or non-modified class for true representation for manufacturers and shooters alike, this would include currently offered ammunition.

But until there is one sanctioning body for all these competitions “anything Goes”!

TO me i think a gun used in competition should be on the market and available to anyone before it can be used in a high level Comp . Totally unfair to have a select few with an unavailable advantage .
I agree with this statement for sure.

While I see your logic, and even agree with you that a "stock" class would be pretty cool........a gun shot as "stock" at one of the big airgun events is likely a rare thing. Even in the much less publicized realm of field target, guys are constantly having new barrels machined and adding or subtracting "stuff" on their rigs to try to gain a competitive edge. Essentially, making them no longer "stock". And I'm not being judgemental here, as I'm as guilty as anybody. It's just the facts of the matter.
