Skout Epoch vs Evo

I prefer the Evo personally. But honestly other than things stated they are the same. I know guys that prefer the epoch over the Evo for bench. But really can’t go wrong with either one. I would check out the .22 LW 1.15.7 barrel option. Several guys have had great success with it. Personally, if you’re going solely for BR 100y I would go .30. Followed by .25 before I would do .22. Just an opinion.

We have first hand experience from some guys on the Team that are getting great results from the optional .22 LW 1:15.75 with JTS 22.07 at about 960 fps.
We haven’t had much experience yet with the .30 LW, and zero experience with the .25. But we will, all in good time.
PS, the .22 LW 1:15.75 also shoots the .22 @Altaros King 40 grain 5.52mm lights out at 900-910 FPS. The ZAN ELRs are good also from the same barrel but not up to Altaros precision.

I have both a gold Epoch and orange Evo and like both of them. For strictly Benchrest, I prefer the Epoch. For all around shooting, I prefer the Evo. You can’t go wrong with either.

Besides the diferences in the electronics, there are no differences between the platform other than the form changes. I actually prefer the Epoch. It is a bit taller which I like. Also as a lefty the Epoch has the high pressure regulator gauge on the right side of the gun, making it easier for me to track. The entire upper of the gun (all of the colored parts) are shared between both the Epoch and the Evo.
