Tuning Ernest Rowe carbon fiber sleeve

I received and installed my carbon fiber sleeve today (.25cal 700mm) and noticed it's not as true as the liner when rolled on a surface. I'm guessing this will have no effect on the liner as it's stronger than the carbon fiber tube, even though they are bonded together.

I never tried that test but IMHO it doesn’t matter nearly as much as how true it is inside. The ones I received have been very true inside and the liners slide in without too much resistance but no play either. Once bonded it’s essentially a single piece barrel until the epoxy or whatever you used to bond it give. Carbon fiber is very stiff structurally and not temperature sensitive so it will give the liners excellent structure support from outside. Not nearly as good as true carbon fiber wrapped barrels but for the amount of force we are dealing with and the space we have it’s significant upgrade that you can tell.

I was thinking about doing this upgrade and getting rid of the o-rings. I have heard it does nothing to increase accuracy and harmonics others say it's a good upgrade. Maybe for $40 dollars it might be worth the try.
