Porters! Yes!DA#M if i carried half this stuff id need porters to carry everything .
I hear ya! The idea is to make sure that we list everything and leave it to the shooter's discretion to take the stuff or not. The way I see it is that we used to go rustic camping a lot, so you only pack in what you need, but you have extra supplies in the truck at the parking lot that you probably won't need, but don't want to have hours away if you in fact DO need that gadget or whatever.DA#M if i carried half this stuff id need porters to carry everything .
That was a great suggestion @davecole ! I added that to the list on most of the checklists. What we did learn from several years of these long outings is to bring a backup gun just in case.
You know, I have always brought an ammo box that has my "stash" of o-rings and springs with me just about wherever I go, but I didn't list that specifically, so I added it to the majority of the lists. That was a great addition! Thanks for the input!I’ve had an o ring failure I had to drive fifty miles out of the way to get a replacement.
Thanks so much!!Love your lists!
I also am a fan of lists.
That was a GREAT addition! So glad you suggested it!! I will definitely put that on the Hunting List!Something that I did not see on there-
Amongst the ammo and rifles, knives, etc. Is a basic aid kit.
With all the sharp and puncture-making equipment, you may also consider some life-saving gear.
That's why we bring all this stuff...in hopes that it is for nothing and never needed, but if it is, it can ruin your whole day. Even if you just have half this stuff sitting in your truck, you should have it...but basic first aid, IMHO, is essential.I will probably never use some things I have in there.
Please do!! That is what they are here for!!I'm going to pilfer some of them
OMG!!! I can't believe I missed this one!! I am such a HUGE proponent of always having toilet paper. I keep a half roll in my truck, ALWAYS, in case you stop at an unaccommodating rest stop or whatever. Also about 1/4 roll in my hiking backpack...but not on my lists?!?! WTF was I thinking...or not! Again, a great, and essential, suggestion!!Toilet paper.
