Howzit Gang,
Had a chance to shoot the Storm yesterday and am Liking her more each time I take her out! She was shooting pretty Hot when I recieved her back from Will. My string ran 967, 971, 968, 960, 949, 935, 926 shooting JSB 44’s. I decided to take her down a bit and adjusted the hammer spring three full turns counter clockwise and record the speed. I ended up with 902, 907, 920, 927, 928, 929, 926, 917, 909, and 894. It was getting late so I shot a few more groups to let the hammer spring settle down and shot this group.
Group was shot at 55yards... 9 shots! Running a fixed 12x SWFA SS scope. Also at a suggestion of a friend, changed the Ronin out and installed the Emperor. (Pic shows the Storm with the Ronin). He recommended that a rifle shooting 900 plus would benefit from the Emperor (was told by the man himself (DonnyFL). After running some pellets through her I have to agree! Thanks Jim! The Ronin will take up residence on the Tactic for now
Gonna try and order a few hammer springs to play around with and maybe some 50 grain JSB’s. Will informed me that he had tuned the gun to shoot the 50 grain pellets. Might also try some slugs down the road to see what she’ll do at a hundred.
I’m call this Storm the Leetle Engine That Could! With just a hammer spring change, you can tune her down to shoot (I’m guessing) twenty plus shots to plink with and crank her up to be a Serious hunting machine! If there is a negative, I’m finding out she’s a Hungry Beast! I find myself reaching for more ammo to feed her! Her appetite is INSATIABLE! HAHAHA Love my Tactic but when the air supply drops down to 3000psi on the tank the Storm steps up and shines!
I’m already thinking about saving up for another one... maybe in 22/25 and sending it directly from the dealer to Will for a tune!
Mark
